arts and crafts stores, under jewelry repair, it's called a benchblock.still playing around with plate size till I get the official ones in tomorrow, nothing special so far. all the metal shops are closed and the thickest chuck of metal lowes or home depot sells is 1/4 inch thick piece of steel doesn't hold the temps very long.
when you make the surface area bigger the force is spread out, I hope the plates I had made up aren't too big. if they are air mite said they would swap me a dps58 for my dps38 for the price difference. RT's plates are only 1 3/4 inches by 2 3/4 inches the plates I am getting are 2.5 x 5 inch
A little math tells me that, with that size plates, you'll need a 6,119.48 lbs. press to equal the pressure of the Rosin Tech set up.still playing around with plate size till I get the official ones in tomorrow, nothing special so far. all the metal shops are closed and the thickest chuck of metal lowes or home depot sells is 1/4 inch thick piece of steel doesn't hold the temps very long.
