Very interesting idea! I might design some mylar covered low walls (angled upward) into my next grow structure. Got to optimize the fading light any way we can.

Yeah, I might do two at home and two at my brothers. Each has advantages and disadvantages, he lives about an hour and 20 minutes away, and its on the other side of PDX so its a PITA drive, but he does have open land and lots of sun. Those won't get much attention from me, and all he'll do is water them, but between those and some over-cared for but under-sunned ones here at the house, I should get something.

But truly, a lot of time will pass between now and then. I've upgraded my indoor lights and I'm experimenting with different soil mediums, and if I get my indoor going really well, I might not do an outdoor at all next year. Currently I'm running an indoor that are clones from my outdoor, and the buds on the indoor are a hundred times better in every way because they have more than enough light to fully mature. No PM, no bud rot, no bugs inside -- every spray known to man and I have all of those things outside. This afternoon I'm going to salvage whatever I can from the outdoor, but it looks like I'm going to have a ton of underdeveloped unsmokable bud, that can probably be made into butter. I just don't need that much butter, so I'd guess 70% will get composted.

With your growing situation, I would agree indoor would be better. Glad you have some clones that are doing well. Composting, oh yes, trim a lot while the plant is still upright, then work the big leaves into the soil and cover.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Police in Ohio say they were called to a house by a man who complained he'd gotten too high smoking marijuana.

The Youngstown Vindicator (http://bit.ly/1FRAt4i ) reports that Austintown Township police on Friday found the 22-year-old man curled in a fetal position on the floor, groaning and surrounded by snacks that included Doritos, Goldfish crackers and Chips Ahoy cookies.

The newspaper reports that the man told officers he couldn't feel his hands.

Officers found a glass jar of marijuana and paraphernalia in the man's car after he gave them his keys. The man refused medical treatment and so far has not been charged with a crime.

Next year, I'm definitely gonna go with a PM resistant strain.
Neem Oil is a good treatment though, in the meantime.

Just moved, so the new area is notably different than what I'm used too.

On another note, have any of you tried "Kind Soil" hot soil mix? It looks like a nutrient-rich feeder soil that claims to supply all necessary nutrients without needing any additional amended nutrient feedings.
I want to give it a shot, but was curious if anybody has experience with it.

Yesterday, found budrot, started to harvest / salvage flowers. The afghan black domina, buds are soaked, spent part of the day cutting flowers.
Don't really have a space to dry all the plants.

Looks like this newbie, has to think over the winter on what will change next time.

I'm done. We left a couple of plants up since this week is supposed to be mostly warmer and drier, just on the off chance one actually finishes, but most likely they're toast. I took the White Fire OG down to the stump this morning, it had PM and rot all over the place and there was nothing to salvage, we didn't get a single bud from that one. Not a good NW strain. The GSC next to it was significantly more resistant to mold and mildew, but in my yard did not get the light it needed to finish. It'll come down in the next day or two, and we won't get anything from that one either.

We got one decent harvest from the Alien (10oz), but since it had bud rot in some places, even though we were as careful as possible to eliminate it, we'll only use that for edibles. The Chemdawg was trimmed twice, and its still up, and its doing a good job of resisting mold/mildew and we might get a third cut from it. Other than that, we took down the "wild one" (from a mysterious seed, and left mostly unattended) in two stages, and we'll get a bunch of smokeable bud from that. As it cures it smells very diesel-like, so I think it has that in its genetics.

As far as drying goes I got a couple of those hanging basket/rack? things, and hung them the only place I could, my garage. It's been cool and humid enough that its a real slow drying process, but it's happening. I'll get something from it all.

Definitely learned a lot, but I'm too tired to even think about it all. I just finished my second DIY COB light, and I'm focusing on the fall/early winter indoor now.

Soaked from the rain, fog in the morning, then not drying out during the day.
I found one plant afghan black domina, is finished and no rot. There seems to be 2 pheno types. Later today, harvest the rest, then check every bud and daily recheck until dry.

Put some bud into a dehydrater, as a test, maybe not perfect.

@Humanrob, Glad you harvested some good bud. Good luck on your winter project.
 
image.jpg Pretty happy right now tho took a couple branches off my 2 outdoor finally dry and they both smell great but the blackberry tastes fkn weird hoping that will go away with the flush but overall think they will b good lucked out no bugs and no mold
