Conservatives should rebrand themselves, "the Paranoia Party of Canada."
I checked the Green candidate in my riding; a German transplant who seems too wet behind the ears to represent an area of blue collars. That makes it easier for me to vote Orange (although, I'm not doing it for Mulcair, that's for sure).

Looks like my rep is going to have to work a little while longer before he can retire (pretty sure he's eligible for pension, and rightly so...the brother has served).

Still, I want to see at least 12 Greens in the House this time. If your riding is "fresh" and you can't be bothered to vet your reps, pick Green. Else ABC.

My Green Candidate is having a non-partisan 'party' today to get out the message of the importance of voting. Hot dogs and face painting for the kids. Good idea, imo.

Well, is the Green even an option in your riding or does your vote need to be strategic (like mine)?
I'm in one of the new ridings, but it sounds like the NDP are in the lead by far. I couldn't get a response from the NDP candidate which pissed me off, but I guess I will hold my nose and vote ABC.

Whatever happens, the worst case scenario I see ATM is a Con minority. As for your NDP rep, is it an incumbent? Or is it someone you've never seen before? If the latter, vote the way you want.

in my small town Alberta our candidates are not even coming here to speak until the 15th giving us 4 days to make up our mind there are no signs up any where around here had to do research just to find out who is running but we do have NDP-GREEN-LIBERALS and the Cons now to find out what STD is right for me.

Are you going to visit? If not, you should. Ask hard questions.
Anytime you can ask the hard questions of any politician do it. We still don't have any of the leftside on record saying what their stance on personal production of medical marijuana. That's the issue we all care about the most. Simple question "will you and your party scrap the mmpr and replace it with a program so medical users can produce their own?"

I've asked the ndp and the libs that very question...I was ignored. Fuck what the politicians want, patients will win our rights in the courts, just like we have always done.

just decriminalize it. No crime no fines no corporations. I couldn't care less about what happens in the us. Canada isn't USA Jr. We need our own solution rather then letting corporate idiots who know nothing about it allowed to run everything because they have deep pockets. Tell us how is your app going Rnr anyways? Lol do your pockets have holes in them?

If you vote liberal that's what you're voting for. It's far less impressive then they'd like us to think. They can keep their $20 grams.
But in Colorado they also are allowed 6 plants per person for recreational....I would accept that, $20g for those who want to pay, just like beer, but those who want to put in the work can grow their own. Medical is a whole different deal...I don't think the sitting government regardless of who it is, is going to solve it...HC will fuck things up and the SCoC will fix it. Sad, but that's the reality.

Vancouver Dispensary Contest Offers Snoop Dogg Tickets, Pot Samples For Voters

A B.C. marijuana dispensary is encouraging people to vote in the upcoming federal election by offering a chance to win free samples of weed, and tickets to see rapper Snoop Dogg in concert.

Danny Kresnyak of the Eden Medicinal Society said the Vancouver-based campaign is non-partisan, and simply urges Canadians to exercise their voting rights on Oct. 19.

The upcoming Harvest Moon Cup cannabis competition — where Snoop Dogg is performing and hosting — is being used as initiative.

Dispensary members who can prove they voted will be entered into a draw to act as a competition judge — a position that comes with free samples of pot, and special passes to see the rapper's sold-out concert on Oct. 24.

Non-members will be entered to win a general admission pass to the same show.

Kresnyak said voters — including those who go to the advanced polls — can stop by any of Eden's locations in the city to enter the contest.

"We see this election as a point where someone has to take up the flag," he told The Huffington Post B.C. in a phone interview Friday. "We're standing on the precipice of a lot of major issues... and as we step forward as a country, we need to make decisions."
