How much Veg time for 1lb plants?

Hello mates.

Starting a new grow and have a big question.

How much Veg time in DWC would it take to hit 1lb plants?
Im thinking 2 months veg from clone.
Around 24" until flip.
SCROG obviously.

I have never done 1lb plants indoors, but want to start some serious yields with longer veg times instead of smaller more grows.

WIll be using Gavita 1000w DE fixtures
24 plant RDWC or Ebb and Flow depending.

8 x 8 grow space.

Experienced growers only who have dealt with this.

I can increase my footprint.

Looking for 1 lb per plant.
I have never run 1lb plants but I do know adding veg time by a week increases yield exponentially.

A thread over at ic mag.

If I could pull lb a plant in an 8x8 would be interesting but if not can get a much larger space if needed.

I know the more veg the less lighting is needed.
Have seen 5 plants vegged for 2 months and flowered under a 400 HPS with a few grams short of 5 lbs.

Anyways, just want to know how 2 months will increase yeilds compared to many smaller harvests rather than a few longer vegged per year

Viper Cookies by Moxie

Both heavy yeilders.
Mainly want to decrease harvests and increase veg to have larger yeild overall through a 12 month period.

Very nice.
What lighting were you using and how much of it?
Going with Gavita fixtures or Phillips DE bulbs and DE raptor non cooled hoods with solis tek DE ballasts depending.

I should also add this---
Vegging 30 days vs vegging 60 days.

From what I have ready can double or tripple yield.
Mainly looking for best way to maximize yeild. Longer veg seems like the way.
Want 24 DWC or Ebb and Flow.
Id prefer less harvests and longer veg .

He is a mate of mine a professional head grower now working at Tweed Cannabis facility in Ottawa Canada.

Not saying longer Veg is everything but it is a big main for bigger yeilds.
Im aware of the claim.

Anyways , my main question was 30 day veg vs 60 day yield increase.
Im well aware his yeild is not typical and he has a very unlimited budget if you will.
Also was growing vertical.

Just want to know if its worth vegging the extra 30 with a descent setup.

I think the point to remember is that yes, its easy to veg a monster plant. But once it goes into flower the resources needed to capitalise go up at the same rate. You need more watts,more space, more air ect. No free ride. Good luck though.

will be getting a much bigger space and many more gravitas.

Each strain has its genetic potential, you can only grow a strain so big. Eventually the plant will start to mutate as seen in a mother plant that is kept too long. But yes as long as you are willing to suspend the overweight buds then you could veg for longer and increase yeild but I don't know about twice or tree times the yeild I would expect less which therefore would render this method as inefficient and obsolete.

Seems he has some serious tests done here.

Im going to do alot more research before I confirm my final new method.

I grow pound plants all the time. It takes about ten to twelve weeks in veg for the plant to attain the needed size.

As has been mentioned above, that's when the fun starts; it's going to need plenty of light, space, water and nutes to reach its full potential.

Im well aware of light etc. Just wanted to know if it was worth my time to do 60 day vegging instead of 30. WIll have sufficient light and PAR .

That math goes out the window as soon as you start running perpetual. No one is waiting three months to begin a bloom cycle, because there are several cycles already there.

true, thats what i used to do too. ok then more room to flower so u can flower your veg room, thats two crops for 1
