Whats growing in the veg cabinet.

I have seen the humidity can reach 85+% at night in a small grow box with no ventilation.
Got mold in my 7 watt micro peppermint farm. Seems like ventilation is required even at night. I am just gonna leave the top hatch open until soil dries a little bit.

I'm gonna go with the V29's as well. Thanks for your help. I did notice in my tent that the temps are in fact lower with the plants in. Did not see that before you pointed it out.

My veg cabinet is a hodge podge of clones that I'm getting ready for the seed run. I've even temporarily converted the upright freezer in my garage into a cloning chamber (normally it's a temp controlled fermentation chamber for my homebrewed beer, but I won't be brewing anything until the weather cools down). I've got clones of Satori, Blue Dream, Sour D, GG4 and OGK, some of which are rooted and growing, some are not. Once I figure out which clones are viable I can start spraying colloidal silver. I also have 2 Satori seeds and 2 Satori x Blueberry seeds planted that haven't sprouted yet. I might not need the Satori if the 2nd clone is viable - the Satori x BB might get used in a grow following the seed run if the beans are still good (they're 5 years old).

I've also got a few cuts of Thai basil in the clone chamber - if that roots I can move 1 plant indoors to try and have fresh Thai basil year round. We also grow mint, but in a container outdoors.
The mint in your grow chamber looks pretty happy - I don't think having some mold/fungus growing on the soil is a big deal, it's just breaking down organic material into food for the plants. If it's too wet in the chamber though, you might get PM or some other fungus on the mint, which would be bad. Having the top open is probably a good idea.

I do remember a couple mornings when I'd go check on my flowering mj plants right after lights on and the RH was 75% - it was probably higher in the back corner of the cabinet. It always dropped down to 35 to 40% or lower during the afternoons, so I thought a higher RH at night wasn't a big deal. Unfortunately I thought wrong. Lesson learned though, I need to add an always on outlet box in the cabinet so I can run the fan 24/7, and also to use to plug a heat mat into keep the plants a little warmer in the winter.

Yeah, they are a couple old AMD heatsinks that I drilled and tapped with a M3.5 tap, and mounted the cobs with Arctic Silver thermal paste and M3.5 screws. I think I got the tap and screws on Amazon - the tap is a cheapo tap, but it works OK as long as you are very careful. If you feel any resistance when turning the tap, immediately stop and back it out a 1/2 turn.
Each of the Vero 18s only use 14 watts, so the 120mm fan hanging next to the heat sinks moves enough air to keep the sinks cool.

Cool - I started brewing back in college in the mid 90s, but quit after I graduated, and got back into it about 5 years ago. About 3 years ago I built a DIY electric brewery with a PID controller to control temps in the HLT and a PWM circuit to regulate power to the boil kettle. It's pretty badass. I used to have a 5 corny keg chest freezer setup to serve the beer, but sold that when we moved to Cali. When we bought our house out here I was lucky to find a fridge and upright freezer on Craigs list for $150, so I made the freezer the fermentation chamber and the fridge now has 3 kegs & taps set up for serving the beer. It's a fun hobby - once the weather cools down I need to do a bunch of brewing to restock my kegs. I hate brewing when it's hot out.

Sounds like a nice setup. I have a 10 gal SS pots and do 5 gal batches. Electric brewing but never automated it. Have a keezer as well with 3 kegs in it. Keeping it simple though, no collars and fancy taps, just a rolled up tube line with a picnic tap on it. Been doing it for four years now. Love the DIY.

I was tired of my inconsistency with cloning, and the time it was taking to root, and the fact that you can't tell if a clone is rooted or not in coco, so I was going to build a DIY aerocloner today (I built a DIY bubble cloner before, but wasn't that thrilled with it). I still had the pump and spray heads from a DIY unit I built in the past. Before building, I had to swing over to the hydro shop for some other stuff, and ended up buying an EZ cloner from them instead. It's the 16 site cloner, and it was like $110, so I said f' it, I'll take it. The DIY cloner I built in the past leaked and made a mess - sometimes it's just easier and better to buy something prebuilt. I did have great success in the past with aerocloners - I think they're the easiest and most consistent way to clone. Hopefully that holds true with this new cloner too.

I pulled the OGK and Sour D clones out of coco (no roots on them) and placed them in the cloner, and took 3 new GG and 2 new BD clones and put them on the cloner too. I added some Calmag and ph'd it to around 6. It's been about 4 hours, and all the clones look happy so far. These will be replacement clones for my seed run, to replace the ones that failed. The new BD cuttings had pretty thin stems, so they may not take, but we'll wait and see.

Interestingly, the 4 Thai basil cuttings I had in coco all had large root masses after only like a week. Not sure if basil roots faster, or it was because the stems were thicker, or if it was because I placed the cuttings in the 4 corners of the container instead of the middle (they may get more air near the edge of the container). I may have to do a test by putting some mj cuttings in the corners of a container sometime, when I'm just taking a couple cuts and don't want to fire up the ezcloner, and see if they root faster that way. I watch the BBC TV show Gardeners World (I use a proxy to download BBC shows in the US), and they always recommend putting cuttings around the edges of the containers and not in the middle. I never took it that seriously, but I think it is a better way to take cuttings in soil or coco.

Two thumbs up for the EZ cloner. All new cuttings had a small clump of 1" roots within 5-6 days, and have been planted in some coco and are now veging. I had to cut off the bottoms of the stems on the older cuts that had been in coco, since the bottom of the stem had turned brown and weren't rooting. I actually lost one of the OGKs because of that. Hopefully they'll root at the new cutting point now - I made the new cut in green stem.

Any updates on your grow man. Nothing special with mine right now just finishing up my party cups they have two weeks tops left in them. Than I'm going to scrog two girls in my cab and see what these cons can produce yield wise.

I've been off the grid for a few weeks. Super busy with work, and had to travel to Michigan for a week too. The fem seed project is underway, I've been spraying a few females for a couple weeks. They started off throwing female pistols, but as I keep spraying I'm seeing some balls start to form, so I'm hoping for some pollen to chuck soon. The recipient plants are being flowered too, and are starting to bud. I'll update with some picks once I get some pollen to use.
I've been holding out on RUI . During my Vero cob grow in the garage, I also had been putting some plants outdoors in the backyard to grow, and ended up with some really nice results. It started off by putting out an extra Satori seedling that I had grown early on, then I followed that with a Blue Dream clone, then a GG#4, and finally a Sour Diesel. I put them out in late July/early August. The timing worked out great, since I wanted to keep the plants small so they wouldn't draw attention. All the plants have been harvested except the Sour D, but that will get chopped tomorrow. I should end up with a little under a pound off of the 4 plants, which is way more bud than I know what to do with. I'll probably try making rosin with some of it I guess. I didn't want to post pics until harvest, but now that I'm ready to harvest the last plant, here's the pics:
Here's the plants in August - Satori on the left, then Blue Dream, GG4 and Sour D. (Lemongrass growing on the hill). Blumat drippers kept the plants watered during the hot summer months.

I should end up with 14 qt mason jars of bud, including the 2 jars of my Vero cabinet grow. Once the seed run is complete I'll probably shut everything down for a while since I don't need any more bud. I can focus on brewing beer to restock my brew pipeline.

Chopped the outdoor sour diesel today - all of my outdoor plants have been harvested. Here's the SD in the drying rack. The SD was the smallest plant, probably get 2-3oz on this one. The Blue Dream and Satori were both over 4 oz.

Here's the 3 plants I've been spraying with colloidal silver - they are all showing some balls now, and they are developed enough that I needed to move them outside away from the other plants to prevent accidental pollination in case 1 of them were to pop. The 3 pollen donor plants are going to be Satori, GG4 and Blue Dream.

Here's the plants that will be pollen recipients - GG4, Blue Dream, Satori and OG Kush. I'll be using an artist brush to brush pollen on specific branches to get the seeds I want.

And lastly, here's the veg cabinet. I have 2 GG4 plants and 1 Blue dream. These are mostly just backups in case the seed runs fails.
