there's no winning when arguing via the internet.
Cheese=lanky spindly plants.
Out of interest@ oscar, I know you have the Livers down pat, have you ever run it in a SOG from rooted clones out of interest? Got that and the Blue Meanie and want to get a crop in for xmas so am thinking of just fillinbg the room up[ with cuts n flipping to flower etc
I've flowered livers cuttings as soon as theyve started growing again. So they were about six inches tall. They also don't need to be too close to each other, they'll fill the space. If you did nine under a 600w in a 1.2 tent you should hit around the 20 oz mark. Providing you don't get any pests or other stuff that can go wrong. Hope that helps. A Christmas crop is achievable I'd think
how is your bm? everyone had struggles getting it to grow in veg last i heard.
the thing that can mislead some growers is the definition of the word cutting, it can be broad as fuck.
i remember the second (and last) time i bought cuttings, they were literally a twig with one hacked up leaf and one measly taproot. they also had mites on them which took me a while to eradicate so now i don't take cuttings in batches, i will take one strong cut and veg it into a mother and even then i will only accept cuttings that are from a reputable source, i'd rather pheno hunt my own special cut anyway.
whenever i take cuttings i will make them as big as possible, which is usually around 8 inches tall so they can fit under the propagator lid without touching it, i also leave them in there until they have all rooted, this usually results in one big fuzzy mess of roots that sometimes need to be broken to remove the clones. it basically guarantees you will hit at lest 2 oz from that cutting no matter what you do.
i like the sound of the livers to grow, never had the pleasure but from what i hear it does like a stretch so seems ideally suited to sog with minimal veg time, whenever i smoked it it was always very racy and pure rotten fruit stench!
Sounds like we have a very similar method of doing cuttings.
I do mine about six inches. You must have slightly larger prop than me lol
Livers just about doubles in size. The Cheese I'm doing at the moment has more than trebled. They're really spindly and lanky and my canopy probably isn't to some peoples liking lol
To Ribena. A six to eight inch well rooted cutting in a three inch block put into your chosen medium will be more than ready by Christmas. Livers takes nine weeks you can take it early as seven though, but it obviously won't be as heavy. I've let it go to twelve because I didn't the time to chop it and the high was more sedative but it wasn't any heavier really.
You could do with the cuttings sooner rather than later though
cheers mate there are 12 livers and 5-6 Bm in the prop rooting, 1st livers popped roots this morning, livers are going to a mate who im helping to setup n im gonna have the BM`s, soon as they have roots into flower in a 6.5L square, also got a 3.5L to try out/compare, as soon as they are out the prop though i can immediately take another 20`ish cuts
Why don't you keep the Livers cuts and give the others to your mate?
Charity starts at home and all that.
What is Blue Meanie? If it's a slow vegger it will probably scupper your plans for a Christmas crop because it's tight enough for time as it is.
Sorry for clogging up your thread ghb. I only really post in Dons thread but I wanted to see more of your growing. I normally just look and not say anything but that tit the other day lured me into saying something. Which I think was what he wanted, an argument and then to blame everyone else for it. tit
