First grow and my seedlings seem unhappy. Would appreciate a second opinion.

I have set my intake fan and lights to come on at the same time,
120w Tubular Heater on a timer when the lights out and it keeps my girls happy

So it's coming up to 3 days ago when I posted my pics. I haven't watered them with the exception of just a few drops on the base of the stem as I think they were over watered.

They haven't grown at all and they don't look any better.
Not sure what to do other than leave them and hope something changes.

That doesn't normally sit comfortably with me as doing the same thing and expecting different results is madness. :S

What is in your growing medium? It doesn't look like their is much aeration (perlite is good for this). Part of it could be lack of air/suffocation.

12 inches is too close for an HPS, 18 inches is the minimum distance IMHO. Seedlings are far more likely to survive if under fluorescent lighting (T5/T8 would be good), 2-4 inches away from your plants.

Good luck

Greetings.
I had some seedlings looking like that a few months ago. It was the light to close and PH and really more PH. Moved lights back and got PH under control and gave them some xtra cal mag, look great now at week 7 of 10. If you have a 600 @ 12 inches that is the safe minimum for a 6 inch glass covered 336 cfm air cooled reflector, 18 inches would be better and keep you in the sweet spot.

First off I don't do soil but your soil looks to compacted and wet. The pots are great but the soil needs aeration.

"slightly pale green almost yellow" N deficiency? Is your PH off? Is so you are gonna have issues.
My tap comes out at 7.1 and ppm of 150 all day. Run my day temps 78-84 degrees and night @ 70-72.

I think you need to feed them and get you PH under control. PH will murder you.

Coco prof plus is the medium. I have 2 inches of clay pebbles in the bottom and a light mix of them throughout the medium. It is possible I need to add some perlite or similar to the mix.

I have moved the light so it is now 2ft away. I did that last Thursday.

Just doesn't seem like anything is changing. Considering germinating some more seeds and retrying as I suspect new seeds would over take these within a week.

Ordered a T5 install with 6500 lumen output. Also ordered 100litre's of perlite and a digi waterproof ph pen & a dose of calmag for future use.
Will see if that improves my chances of success.

I cut 2 litter plastic bottles in half and use top half to cover the seedlings in the tent. Twist the cap open or closed to adjust humidity inside the mini greenhouse.. I also use the cap to block or shadow direct light on the baby, Seen some using plastic bags but I don't like that to much. By the time they outgrow it they are ready for prime time.

Intriguing idea.
How do you measure moisture in the dome? Meter probe?

Honestly, I eyeball it. Vapor on the sides, big water drop on the center of the seedling or dripping off. Then I start twisting the cap a little to vent. I suppose I could stick the acc-u-rite in there too. Honestly never needed too. Just a thought.
