is everything looking alright?

I have a cool whtie 40w(150w) cfl on it about 7-8 inches above it..like directly above it in a big tinfoil box...and it looks like this, i at first had 2 lights, this cool white one and another 150w warm white cfl and i took the warm white out because i thought it might be too strong..so these are them about 7-8 days in, are they alright? And should i put the warm white light back in with the cool to light it up more?

smokeh;get rid of the tin foil. it will burn holes in ur plant

What ??? it never happen to me :hump::mrgreen:
or anyone who i know it ;)
but white wall is best to reflect the light because white color not suck any light it shelf, it reflect 80-95% light.. like tin foil is only 60-75% if it's straingt without scramble..

white wall is best reflect the light.. natural pure white! :peace:

ps. so get rid of tin foil and replace natural white.

ok cool..2 more quick questions..its starting to getting a little bigger now, and in the middle of the 4 leaves that are there i see it starting to sprout a little something i don't know what to call it exactly but it looks like it's blooming anohter little set of leaves..really small though

q#1 - since right now all i have shining on it is a a cool white 150watt cfl, would it be bad if i added another WARM white 150 watt cfl into the box? (too much light and heat?)

q#2 - how far should i have the light(s) away from it? right now id say it's about 7-8 inches above it right now?

u can never have too much light.

keep the lights about 2 inches away from the plant. move rather the plant or the light when the plant starts to grow. i keep mine about 1 or 2 inches away. the closer they are the more lummens they will receive and not go to waste. good luck!

my plants are 6 days old and look like that. I am doing an experiment by following a grow journal book(buds for less). I would say you are doing fine. I would lose the foil myself. I have read if you have to use it, use the reverse side of it.

Ialso read that cfl's require no reflective walls and what not because the lights are only effective a few inches from the bulbs.

Exactly! You can use the tin foil, its not really doing anything though, CFL lights are only effective from a couple inches away. Now if you were using a nice 400W hps, then yes the tin foil could cause burns on the plant.

ok i added the other cfl so now i got both a warm and cool white 150 watt cfl on this getting bigger plant..should i be soaking this when i water it to the point where a couple drops come out of the bottom of the pot? and another thing sorry this may sound dumb, but am i supposed to keep the soil wet/moist all most of the time? like should i water it regularly or should i let all the soil fully dry out and water it every 6 hours instead?
