My pops died 2 years ago from a golf ball size tumor on his brain. He was an avid cell phone user. He used his cell phone for his job and loved to call his family while he was on the road traveling. He had the 1st cell phone, the bag phone, remember that? 20+ yrs my father used cell phones and when he was diagnosed with the tumor 7 years ago, my 1st question was, was it near his phone ear? and the answer was yes, and how did I know that. Now we have empirical proof that frequent cell phone use causes tumors and cancer.

I maybe use my phone once every two days, calls maybe once a week.. Get of the grid the air is much cleaner.

Sorry to hear about your pops, every technology has it's draw backs. I mean since they made the calculator hand held people walk around thinking they know math.

I have never once put my cell up to my ear and I only use
the speaker phone always talking one foot away from my cell.
My friends trip on this method.

20+ years ago, I would've been more concerned because the amount of microwave radiation allowed in the US was 3x greater than that allowed by Russia !
Now? Not so much, because of the amount of cells (i.e. towers) has made it so the phones don't need to broadcast at higher wattages.



Note the date on that photo. Microwaves are going to be absorbed mostly by the sheath of fat around your brain (it is the most responsive tissue to microwaves). The penetration depth is also quite limited (I've done the calculation many times in studying Electrodynamics and never became concerned about the results). What may cause a problem is the "irritation" due to "heating". That could lead to a tumour but not necessarily cancerous. However, I do agree one should limit their exposure; as such, use Bluetooth (very low wattage in comparison, on par with a WiFi router) or speaker-phone as much as possible.
And DO NOT GIVE CHILDREN CELLPHONES, YOU MORONS!
Not because of the radiation but the intelligence sucking aspects of dumbphones.

So...who are we to believe? Hand-waving spooks or 20+ years of wide consumer use?
Think about it for a while. Wouldn't one expect peculiar "hand cancer" rates to rise, too?

As for me, I just stick to the precautionary approach, only because I AM exposed to a lot of EM radiation in general, due to my research experiments. Besides, I hate holding shit up to my head because I like to use both my hands in the event I need to do something on the computer at the same time, or drive a car. Hands-free technology is meant to be used, so use it!

I believe that. I was donating some meds to a cancer patient around here that had a tumor on the side of his head above his left ear (where he held the phone), and one on his left hand which he held the phone with. Real young guy too. He was convinced that it was caused from his cell phone use

Heckler is one of the more intelligent posters here and one of the few denizens of this section that isn't a troll.

What did you think was going to happen? We'd all just shower your op with likes, and throw our cell phones away? This section is packed full with crazy, if you don't differentiate yourself from the rest of the lunatics, you'll just get lost in the noise.
