630 continuous wattage of CFL's is actually a fuck load of light if you have them in that fixture a few inches above your seedlings. Im surprised its not too hot. Can you post a link to your bulbs? Im not sure how i feel about 600watts just chilling a few inches above the tops in an open reflector. The plants look like they are coming along nicely. What are your plans for flowering? Ventilation ect..

Optimal? No. but useless? Definetly no. CXA/CXB chips will surely rape them cfl's i just can't wait to build me a CXA setup,been telling myself this for a year already but i just have too much going on at the moment. I still use cfl's for experimental flowering though, and i actually have alot of fun doing so.

sounds like you get lucky, only downside to hps is im always fighting the heat.... need to get a air cooled and fast lol
