Noice. I imagine there's less a chance of bud rot and if you could check the brixx of probiotics vs non the probiotics should be a higher suger content. That matters for fruits and veggies for sure.I'm going to have to try that my girl takes probiotics all the time so I'm gonna steal one of her tablets and throw it in some water lol I'll see what happens. Actually the soil I just bought says it has probiotics in it also. Let's hope dr. Earth doesn't disappoint me haha
which one are you talking about? Every miracle I always see even the organic says continuously feeds plant for up to x amount of months. I wouldn't mind giving it a go though it's definitely a lot cheaperAnd to anyone and everyone not happy with paying $20+ for a bag of soil ...... I'm runnin 5 different strains all are completely happy in miracle gro organic choice and perlite ( it doesnt have any time release in it and its not nearly as hot as fox )
the brown bag is the potting mix it doesnt have perlite and its not time release...... doesnt have any little balls in it ..... its sucks without perlite but is totally different with it ..... i use 2 bags of that and a bag of miracle gro perlite and some lime and thats it ..... used a diluted humic acid starter solution and then just water until preflower then a lazy tea for veg....... then just more water until preflower stretch .... then again a lazy tea and some sweetner ...... the organic choice only feeds for 2 months i believe is what the bag says and that would be right on par with some good organic soil ....... i was making my own soil and for the price of the organic choice its not even worth mixing it upwhich one are you talking about? the jobes is also in 2 lb bags i believe the small bag is like 4 somthin 5 bucks .......Ok dude I gotta write this down...The Jobes are 6 lb bags. How much perlite, I have Miracle-Gro perlite in 8 qt bags, are those the sizes you are using? And about that diluted humic acid starter solution and the lazy tea, I have never heard of either. Please enlighten me or point me in the right direction to learn of both. I believe when ya learning , learn right. Teach an old man a few new tricks..
if your in the US contact peruvian gold fertilizers sales dept there is a link on their site and see if they still give out samples they sent me like 4 x 1 liter samples for free took a few weeks to get it but its enough for a few plant grow good shit its just a bit weak IMO but grew some nice plants with itOk dude I gotta write this down...The Jobes are 6 lb bags. the jobes is just a feed its granular time release the "tea" is just the jobes soaked in water and bubbled to break down the granules so its more readily available to the plant while the microbes are getting established ...... 2 bags of " miracle gro organic choice potting mix" to one bag of perlite ...... should fill roughly 6-10 2-3 gallon containers for like 20-25 bucksSo you are mixing (2) 6lbs Jobe's to (1) 8 qt Micro-Gro perlite. That should fill maybe (3) 3gal buckets I think. Understand the Master Gardeners 1/2 tsp per gal., but only once. It should be ph'ed I'm sure. Then just plain ph'ed water, RO I 'm guessing if possible. The lazy tea, uh not clear on that one. Man thanks a bunch for this info. I have more beans comming and a whole bunch of 5 qt and 3 gal buckets I'm gunna turn into DIY air pots. My current crop in is Wal Mart bag air pots . They work real nice but take about 5 lbs of medium to fill. I will be working with (2) 1000w hps in my 10' x10' grow room. I have room to grow a few at a time, probably 10 or 12 from what I've seen on here. My area under my light is 5' x 8'.This is after I tore down my tent and disinfected the room. I have added another 1000w light..
no idea havent used it i'm sure next time your in wally world or lowes you can easily find both they are pretty common ..... and lowes almost always has the jobes .... i dont think we are very far away from each other .... i have been trying to get a wally world lowes combo that works and this was it lol ........ no grow shops anywhere around here within 100 miles or so ......Found some Espoma Organic potting mix at Wally World, $10.39 for a 12lbs bag. That might work ya think?
Ive got all the stuff to make some bad ass soil on hand ..... for a beginner with a tight budget and for a old head who's back aint what it used to be or someone who just cant descreetly mix soil the organic choice is a nice bland medium that can be fed just about anything and gets the same results ..... just happy plants .... i tried with bottled nutes also its alot easier to burn em ...... but you still dont get the crazy shit that goes on with ffof and nutes.... i did screen shot that though so i can read it not stoned >.< and i might be able to absorb more of it ..... i have a homestead farm with all the normal animals ..... so ive got about anything you can think of when it comes to shit <.< lol .... i buy azomite and lime by the pallet every couple of yearsNot that anyone cares: (soil recipe for nearly any plant) 5 gallons of dirt + 5 gal peat + 5 gal compost. You'll have leftover peat.
Amendments.
-Epsoma organic 5-4-4.. 1 cup-3 cups (depending on who's getting the soil)
-Lime.. Up to one cup
-gypsum.. 1 cup
-Bokashi (fermented organic matter, preferrably high in nitrogen. You can ferment manuer, coffee grinds, etc).. Half gallon.
Fermenting is just the opposite of rotting. The organic matter becomes pickled and saturated with probiotics bacteria.
Mix 3 times
Obviously you'd end up changing from "listening for the answer of what to grow my weed in" into "what is this soil"
Real vague question right. But then you can know what you are doing from scratch, never worry about pH. Idk I just don't like premixed soils. Its not fun.... Tek(I think) said a while back about paying for soil. Just buy the ingredients! Get creative for the sake of learning! Ha raise some worms!
Farm supply stores have great stuff BTW. Like 50lb of lime for 5$ or gypsum for 10$. 2 Gallons of molasses for 15$. Wheat berries and rye berries are cheep and a great source of nutrients for the soil as well as a proper bokashi.
Autoes are started in this soil with minimal 5-4-4 but still using the bokashi at its fullest.
Also you rrproportion mixes to suit even the pickiest. Not the best example but here are some cacti seedling
Side note. Aquappnocs anyone?
