Greenhouses at Pennsylvania State University Get LED Lighting Upgrade from Illumitex
on August 19, 2015 in LED biomedical applications

.
as much as I do appreciate illumitex lights ( I have one and it performs great, way better than Chinese UFOs or cob junk) but I think Penn state just wasted a ton of $$ on them.

don't you think that the penn state engineering department could have designed and developed some cutting edge COB based lights by now that will perform at least as well as the illumitex lights, at a much cheaper cost ?

stupid ivory tower idiots. No wonder education costs so much.

Universities don't work like that. If they did, they'd have to give back a lot of grant money they're no longer wasting, and we can't have THAT!

yeah I know ... but they could spend that grant money on something else, and make it more effective.
Government is the most wasteful in terms of money spent for measurable results, followed by business and then academia... That's right, universities waste LESS than the other two! The most efficient option? The individual you see staring back at you in the mirror every morning.

The dude in my mirror is one hard assed, slave driving, penny pinching cheapskate motherfucker too, lol

It's not just my garden. It's my research lab, used to find and test indoor growing techniques and technologies that advance the art and science of growing indoors. Someday, I'll take what I've learned and build a consulting company around it... which makes this my JOB.

Have you tried the "let's take a trip around the world or buy an entire mansion in some Amish-hell-hole of a town instead of believing some fuckin' lie told by the DeBeers family since our daddy's daddy's daddy's were puppies", argument? Diamonds in the 21st century , buy that lady some platinum + tungsten! People should be commissioning artists to design and build rings, not giving rich corksuckers, (who probably employ some of the 13 million+ slaves in existence today), more money so they can exploit us. Can you tell I'm not related to the DeBeers :).

Anyhoo liking the plants, looking forward to see if they are gonna produce some rocks or those old-school wispy LED nugs. How is that strain for density? And yeah "our" weather has cooled down, been getting my new space ready for the real Northeast grow season :). I would think better weather wouldn't hurt your yield either. Boy I'm a smartie .

Also I'd like to take a moment and give a big shout out to the Lasko fan company. I saw your fan and I realized I've had a 16" Lasko running almost non-stop, in oscillating mode, for nearly 6 years! So let's give it up to the Lasko fan company and when u guys making a $20.00 bladeless model? :P

She is a very compassionate/intelligent person BUT doesn't want to hear that shit^^^..............I've been watching the movie blood diamond with her!ha=== nada, loves tan dicaprio though. It's all about her friends approval, social acceptance IMO. We're just part of the machine, nothing will change that.............maybe a meteor/zombie outbreak, lol.

Sensi seeds NL is a good producer, when crossed with chronic it's a monster in my past experience, but losses potency IMO. Quality first for me, not a profit grower obviously, "pure" NL is an indica lover's dream, I'm a night smoker and it locks out everything.........just peace.

Yeah lasko fans can last, mines the 12 inch wall mount...........hasn't skipped a beat in 5yrs and it's quiet for china quality. Air kings are awesome though, "commercially" all I used..

Sunday is supposedly "funday", not without red wine IMO...................no naps today, feeling cranky. Update time

Round 2 DAY 35 of 12/12 from seed under Osram's "Un-full spectrum" led fixture(125w)= with my 3 white label NL bitches

001.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG 009.JPG 010.JPG .......These girls have only one thing in mind and it's to take over this "grow closet", yikes, just can't keep up with them. All three showing the same pheno(s), consistent with sensi's stuff. Canopy is almost even with nothing done to them, gonna let them go till the end untrained...............maybe:wink:

012.JPG ..month log.....20-24% soil moisture seems to be the sweet spot for this mix. Last round I could go 4-5 days without water during flower, sensi girls can't go 2 right now ........crazy in a 30gal.

011.JPG ........sure take the room and keys bitches, just give me some nice buds at the end !...........lol

Just like the Replacement's song Red, Red Wine (On Sundays).
"Gallo or Muskatel, either one would be just swell.
I didn't come here to fight, hey just as long as that ain't white"
!

Another Sunday without my grasshopper vape!lol.......................update time and then I'm going to a hipster BBQ, @sunni would love it===== PBR's and vegan burgers all day.

Round 2 DAY 42 of 12/12 from seed under Osram's " 2 hump SPD" fixture(125watts)== with my 3 NL white label women

005.JPG 006.JPG 007.JPG 008.JPG 009.JPG .........So much for an even canopy:roll:. I have 2-3 inches left to raise the fixture and that's it, not trying to find another stud to hang higher and it's mandatory cause of it's weight. We will have bleaching my friends, that's a given.

010.JPG 011.JPG .........I find the bud development behind again IMO. Gave them another heavy vegan mix feeding as they are just outgrowing the room and fixture. No stopping them.

012.JPG 013.JPG ......still haven't fixed the meter, I know, procrastination at it's finest. C02 levels have been high since the beginning due to hot weather and everyone keeping the windows closed(ac) in the building===== might explain their size and crazy vigor.

You lost me at hipster BBQ.....

I got a light mover for mine. Only moving about 10" overlapping but they've been at about 7" from canopy and no burn so far for me.
