Best sources for Yucca (dry preferrably) ?

So looking to add Yucca to my mix that's been sitting and cooking... I know a couple sites like Kelp4Less or BuildASoil have powders, and the product line 'Raw' has it - but man those are some jacked up prices if I'm seeing what I think I am...

So how are these Yucca powder extracts any different from say what you find in the Animal care/feed industry? Is there anything that would make the animal one ill-suited for use in growing consumable goods?

i.e.

4lb for $52 versus one of the others listed had 1lb for $75...

Is this another classic industry scam? Any better sources than something like what I'm seeing on Amazon/simple web search? I wouldn't need more than 1 to 5 lb for a very long time... if it stores well that is.

No one? I'm going to try and figure out if these are identical products or not. Looking for anyone who can help discern the difference between what the hydro/nutes industry is putting out there versus what appears to be a routine supplement in the equine industry (seems horses benefit from its use for their joints - maybe it'll work for our 'joints' too!)

We know the common ploys of the hydro/gardening industry...

Step 1 - bottle some commonly used elsewhere shit up with some water
Step 2 - make fancy label with innuendo's to growing weed and JACK UP THE PRICE!
Step 3 - big profits

You do not want sodium benzoate. This is a preservative and fungicide. If it is saponins you are looking for remember there are of other ways to get these like aloe, horse chestnut, and even alfalfa.

So when it comes to Yucca it's the saponins we want - correct? That's what gives plants the hardiness and effective use of water that these desert plants offer...

I had considered Alfalfa for my mix, maybe I should reconsider and add that then - if it's more reasonable/cost effective. I've not read up on the aloe use though. I know it's an incredible plant so no surprise there's a benefit... Will have to look into that angle...
