Its a good question but I don't really have experience with DWC so I cant speak about this with any authority. I would say that you can make any method simple or difficult depending on any number of variables.

What really makes what i do easy are two things.....
1)Promix straight out of the bag...no amendments.
2) Jacks Classic nutes

If i wanted to make this difficult I could just change my nutrient brand to one of the many overpriced selections available. I was at the hydro store the other day and the salesmen tried to sell me a new clone solution that cost $70 for a 8 oz bottle (approx). He gave me the companies brochure showing all the products you "need" to make the best buds. There must be 10 different things you need to add on top of whatever your favorite base nutrient might be.
I guess this stuff might work but you would need a fat wallet to keep paying for it, and a science degree to use it properly.
I agree with you 100 percent. What I found is that most of that stuff they use in them extras are items that can be bought pennies on the dollar in a solid form. 80 dollars for some clone gel that is ridiculous
Yeah....it might take a while to find the exact thing you're looking for but hopefully you get it on the first try.

By the way....you will find that the tub of Jacks that you purchased is going to last a long time. If you have money issues you don't have to buy the orchid. You will have really good results with just the GP and the Bloom. I would bet that your tap water has enough Calcium and if you need magnesium just buy a carton of Epsom Salts....cheap.

Yes they do I have had this Jacks since the beginning of summer it is what I have been using on my blue dream not the greatest results but I think it has slot to do with the cheap soil the first one had no leaves when I harvested 80 percent was all brown think it was salt build up didn't have the problem into mid bloom the soil is very compact and does not drain well it is a potting mix cheap think the name is a sclutz I have also been adding Epson salt one teaspoon per gallon also think I over feted b.c someone claimed they are heavy feeders mine seems to be light. I'm pretty sure it does I have city water. It is what I was using then someone on a forum told me not to use it because it has clornie and other things but I'm use your way b.c I have seen your lab results and your work and I'm very impressed. I do have some slow release organic lime I was going to add maybe a half of table spoon per gallon of media would you say this is good or would you not recommend it. Wouldn't you say the citrus makes a huge impact or just like to throw it in once a while for a piece of mind. I was going to get it to go with my gp and bloom booster.... I am struggling a bit money wise but I would rather get it if it makes a postive difference then cut corners. I just want to get it right this time I am disappointed in myself with the blue dream because I can see by working with it it has potential

Mid flower burn is common. That's why you should flush after 1-2 weeks of flower....
I tried to but I belive the problem was because the mix already had a slow release fert I'm it ......bad choice on my part.i was scrolling threw threads reading up on dtw mainly on pro mix hp and people have been saying that they have been having a lot of pH problems with it lately. Just curious if u have came across any of these problems lately. And when you say to pH you are referring to using pH down or up depending on the numbers? Just want to make sure b.c I am a virgin to this method.

Thanks man this is very useful information so in your personal opinion which is the easiest to dial in dwc hydroponics, soil.oraganic or
The dtw method I am looking for simple easy and great results I thought about amending it and trying organics but I hear it's slow and lower yields but better quality
U know what Ive heard that too but after seeing dr gruber I now believe organics can get u monster yields but quality is off the charts organically

I can't really knock it because I never done it some say it's better some say not much difference but lower yield I belive Jacks is not organic good stuff though I ordered the citrus to pair with Jacks all purpose and bloom booster maybe I'll try organic one day but I'm just taking one learning curve at a time at the moment have you done pure organic before? If so how was your results? I am also worried all the amending will bring pest

Yes...the PH has been really high in my latest batch of HP. I didnt realize otjers were having that problem....can you give me a link to the thread?

And...yes, PH up or PH down does the trick.
