Couple Vac Purge QUESTIONs, Please help!!!

I have 5 gallon tank with a 2 stage pump 4cfm. Today a ran 1/2 oz of nugs and wondering how long my vac purge time should be? I have it in between 105 and 110F right now.

Also, What should it look like when its done? Should there no bubble at all? Im guessing its done when it stops moving?

Also, do most of you leave your vacuum pump on the entire time?

Sorry im a rookie and I see a lot of conflicting information on the web which is frustrating for extraction newbies

To bad you didn't get any replies, i know this post is a bit old but, maybe I can' offer some assistance still.

Sometimes people leave it on for 3 days. It should "feel" hard, like rock candy. You're using shatter temps.

Just so I am not bsing you. I have been trying to do this stuff for months now. I only made shatter once. I am a trained chemist and used so many various chemicals, only a few times I have made stable shatter. I just realized recently, this stuff is temperature dependent. So right now i am working with in that temp range. I am doing my first run in a control temp, but i think this batch i accidently heated it too much, i passed out for like 15mins and the temp was higher than what i wanted, not sure if that will have a negative effect on it.

28-30hg @ 127f for 1 hour. Release for 20 seconds and repeat for another hour. Release and repeat for 30 mins. Once it stops rising like an oven cookie with absolutly no rainbow hue in the bubbles a and no more poppong rising bubbles then you are pretty much there. It is extremly important to not go past 128f.

Thanks guys it just seems that the bubbles get trapped. See pic below, i have it around 120. Its been vaccuuming for hours and it looks like its slowly releasing but some of the bubbles seem like they wont release. Any suggestions?

Yea,when you make the temp too high it will start to change the thc profile making it less stable,allowing more moisture to be mixed within which will wax/oil out on you and eventually crumble if it did wax out. Fuck wax, just stick to shatter and practice untill your melts look clear yellow. If you really want to make wax just repeat the steps at 140f
