Have had plants with those temps of 74-75 in my rez for 3 days now and ph hasn't crashed due to rez temps creating bacteria or whatever... Might just have to put up with it until basement cools down, hopefully the basement doesn't get to cold in the winter meaning below 60 degrees. I don't want the rez temps any lower than 60, not even sure if that's good... Whats worse a 60 degree rez or a 75 degree rez. Opinions please.I think youre asking for slime with temps that high, even with enzymes. 68 for sure
68 to75 is better for the plant. Because that is where the highest DO is.Is this a problem with water temp reaching 77 degress even with the root zone conditioner??? Whats better running dutch master with 77 degree water or the same water at the perfect temp of 68 based on nute uptake and a clean rez??
send me a link to a aquarium chiller for a 5 gallon bucket.. Just trying to make it through the summer in this setup.aquarium chiller
Well if ur running z7 at close to 80 in ur rez, what is wrong with running the dutch master stuff at 75????68 to75 is better for the plant. Because that is where the highest DO is.
But if you have to run hotter. Then you could be in for a lot of issues.
I run DWC at 78to80f. I had a lot of slime issues until I found z7 water treatment.
With z7 in my buckets I have not seen any slime and my buckets stay spotless.
I now never use H2O2 or bleach of any kind. There is no more need for it.
how many buckets you got?send me a link to a aquarium chiller for a 5 gallon bucket.. Just trying to make it through the summer in this setup.
I tried DM Zone,H2O2, teas and a few other things. z7 by far worked the best for me. I have crappy tap water that I am working with.Well if ur running z7 at close to 80 in ur rez, what is wrong with running the dutch master stuff at 75????
My plan is to do 1 bucket in each tent with only 1 plant acourse and I plan on scrogging...Use to pull 5-6 oz's in a 24"x15" space under a 250 hps.....I have 3 tents so 3 plants total how would u connect it all?? Or if u have another solution.how many buckets you got?
i run my Zone now at max strength in hempy buckets. water temps mid 70's.
if you plan on sticking with DWC, a chiller is the way to go. constant temp of 68F will give you optimal results.
you could do it with one chiller. a 1/10 hp would be large enough for 3 buckets i would think. you'll have to figure out how to plumb it all together with a 3 way valve (1 valve per bucket for on/off). then you could just buy 3 of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/131309251397?lpid=82&chn=ps
you'd need one control bucket with just plain water in it and one water pump to pump thru all the wort chillers and the chiller itself and back to the bucket.
wort chiller is just a heat exchanger. you run cold water thru it and it cools the water around it.How would the wort chiller work??? Also trying to figure out how to drop the temp. in my basement... Ambient temp down there is like 73 and my rez only gets 2 degrees warmer, sometimes 76.5.
the only "problem" is that you want your grow room about mid 70's and your water 65 to 68. if you could cool the basement down to 70 you'd kinda be in a happy medium where the grow room is a bit too low and the water a bit too high.
play around with what you got. run the Zone at max strength. and keep an eye out daily for any signs of roots turning brown, slimy or smelly.
