HELLO FRIENDS...I'M BACK!

Just like my previous grows, I will be updating this thread daily with pictures, from seed to harvest. I've officially got the new area setup, just waiting on the seed to germinate. Here are some details and pictures of the new area in the meantime.

Seed: Highsupplies, Feminized Afghan
Tent/Space: Diamond Mylar, 32" x 32" x 64" (approx. 2.5' x 2.5' x 5' tall)
Soil: MG
Pot: 5.5 gallon planter
Light: Veg. Phase = 250 watt, 6500K CFL
Flower Phase = 250 watt, 6500K CFL + 26 watt 2700K CFL x4 (add more as needed)
Vent: TBD (waiting to gauge my running temps first)

I'm expecting the seed to germinate by tonight, so I'll post up some pics as soon as that happens. Thanks for stopping by friends, and stay tuned in for some fun!

Also, I have my previous grow linked in my signature below if you're interested in checking out my last grow.

PEACE!

A little update since last night. I germinated one seed via the paper towel method. I added a little soil in the paper towel to make it more "natural". She germinated perfectly, and I planted her last night and stuck her under the light. I have the lights on 24/7 until she emerges from the soil, then I'll switch to 18/6. Here's a pic of the germinated lady. I'll post a pic of her as soon as she emerges from the soil. I'm hoping to return home from work and see her poking out!!!!

Hey sixspeedv, temps are great IMO. I have one small fan running now, and will add larger fans once she gets larger. So I have two temp gauges, one at the soil line (in the pot), and the other at the base of the tent. the temps from each gauge are as follows.

soil line temps (in the pot) = 79 low, 87 high
base of the tent (the floor) = 76 low, 84 high

The average temperature is reading at 86 degrees, and I've read that skunk enjoys higher temps, so I think i'll be good, especially once I raise the light a little and get better airflow going. The grow guides that I've read specifically for skunk say to avoid temps above 90, so I think 86 degrees should be great!

Opinions?

Hahaha, there'll be plenty of pics soon enough. Still waiting on the sprout to emerge from the soil...its been almost two days now, so 'I'm hoping to see a sprout when I get home. It usually only takes a day, so I'm getting a little frustrated. I have 4 more skunk seeds if this one doesn't work out though, so all's good!

My seedling is no longer a seedling. It is a vegging plant now. Pics on my thread later tonight ;)

Day 1, (July 6th, 2015)

So I got nervous that the first seed wasn't going to sprout, so I germinated another and planted it. Now I have 2 females!

They are the same strain, but look very different. I'm going to veg both of them for one week. The one that looks best after one week will stay indoors, and the other one will go outside.

Here are the pics, they are both one day old today, and it is their first day on 18/6 schedule!

Oh I forgot to mention this...skunk #2 is a little over watered, but she'll recuperate soon enough.
Looking good! Also I don't really follow the solo cup rule/upgrading to bigger growing mediums. I just plant it in the final pot. Always has worked for me. But you do you buddy! I too germed another seed. I was high and wasn't thinking striaght. I have no space for a secondary plant xD Back yard garden was a good choice for me. No one can see it.

Yea, I have a place for one outside as well, gonna wait a week before I move her. Not sure why I did the solo cup method this time, but it works. I have a huge 5.5 gallon pot ready to go for the one that stays in the tent. Still not sure which ones gonna get the boot yet.

side note, both plants are the same strain (Skunk) from the same package, but one is a nice light green and the other is an angry looking dark green. They're same age, same soil, same water, and same light, so it'll be interesting to see if they turn out the same. I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Showing purple at this early stage? How are your temps during lights off?
Sounds like either it's too cold, or that you will have a very colourful plant mister :)

Thanks for chiming in simisimis, and awesome profile pic!

It's the first time that I've seen purple at this stage myself. The temps are perfect IMO. The low is 70f and the high is between 75f-79f, so I don't think it's a temperature issue. Here's a pic of my temp gauge from last night with lights on. I have one sensor right by the plant so I can know what it's temps are, and the other sensor is on the ground. (See Picture; Outdoor temp = the temp right by the plant, Indoor temp = ground temp)

I'm hoping for a colorful plant, hehe! I'll post a pic of what she looks like this morning in my next post.
