Are you doing anything special to deal with the oncoming heat wave? If I read it right you said you're about 10 degrees cooler than the valley, so that will help.

Overall my outdoor will be fine, all that shade I was worried about will serve them well now! It's my roll of the dice decision in doing a summer indoor run that may prove to have been a bad choice. The LEDs run so cool I thought I'd get away with it, but its crazy hot in there when the lights are out, so even running them at night is not going to be enough. Oh well.

I'm not worried about the outdoor. They can handle the heat as long as the roots are happy. I like to mulch with straw although I haven't done it yet, usually the canopy of the plant shades the pot and I pull the straw back off the top anyway. Indoors, it helps to have the lights hooked up to the exhaust so that heat is going straight out. See if I can get some pics up today. Everything is spread out and ready for another round of thinning, I think some of the OGOG's are starting to stretch although it's only been a week since the light was shut off, so I'll wait another week before I can tell if they are flowering. If not I'll top everything that's still vegging.

The upper pad has filled out nicely. Half are to the edge of the pot and through the cage and the rest are not far behind. Not stretching yet, so I'll get another solid round of topping in at least.

Early finishers don't seem to be stretching yet either, with the exception of the OGOG #5 pheno, I think they're starting to stack up.

OGOG # 5, both of these tried to flower early but I quickly turned em around. So glad I didn't dig em up. I am glad I dug up the CBC that did the same thing. Gave it to a friend and it's flowering along nicely.

Thanks! It's getting to the point where it's hard to update cause there is too much to do! Lower pad was just thinned and I got most of the upper pad to finish. Getting to be about 30 minutes per plant at least once a week to keep up. Forgot to add a pic of one of the Blue Snowdogs, another end of september finisher, 4 different plants from seed. And the OGOG #7 looks to be about the smallest yielder of the 300 gallons, just based on tops. But it has the biggest trunk out there.

Them OGOG's smell spicy funky, this one is a touch sweeter. Those #5's got so much spice I want to call it Wasabi Kush! Nothing is full on flowering but in the last week a noticeable stink is in the air...

awesome, i thought i remembered you were local! have you done outdoor here in the WV before? this is my first season here...hoping for good weather in sept/october. When do you usually see the stretch happening here/full on flower?

Anything that I've done that finishes end of september will start stretching mid july-ish - early august, so I'm topping and pulling everything that I can, while I can. All the 7 weekers that finish end of august through mid september are new, so probably around the same time actually. Maybe more like early july on some. I wouldn't count on much after October 10th or so, although we've had a couple real nice octobers in the last few years. Count on 1 rain around early september and maybe another around the end of september. Probably not prolonged rain, well, hopefully.

I need to go back and read about your strains, I'm looking for a couple early finishers.

awesome ty for the info. I have a greenhouse so hopefully can keep the plants dry, although i need to finish the top soon lol. none of my strains I am running are early finishers, or climatized. I am expecting to be having to keep them up till october...so far this summer is leading me to think we are in for another dry winter...knock on wood

Ha! well WV is willamette valley abbreviated, so that's oregon. Funny though cause I did spend quite a bit of time in West VIrginia. too humid for my tastes. All my early finishers came from oregongreenseed, and it's a first for me. I did flower the moms inside to get a sense of which phenos to choose. Ended up doing one of each pheno and multiples of what I'm guessing are the keepers. All my "late" strains are really end of september so still early for many folks.

I thought for sure all the early ones would be well into stretch by now, but I did keep the light on until right before solstice. My problem now is cramming too many into a small space, I can already see where they are shading each other in a couple spots, and they will of course double in size in the next month. J

I feel ya on the overcrowding. I don't mind mine shading each other out because I'm not going for maximum quantity, what is tripping me up is that when they are too close it makes trimming and spraying them difficult (organic pre-flower bug prevention applications) -- since I'm losing access to parts of the plants. Next year everything will be done differently.

That's a classic "next year" lol. I was counting on 10 foot centers for my plant, still I could only get 8 on some cause I decided on more plants at the last moment. I even gave away a dozen "extras" to many first time growers in my area. Still had to keep the bigger extras, hard to let them go when a lot of time has been spent shaping them up.
