Hello everyone. One small thing about me, im starting up my first grow. I live in norway and I can only buy equipment from norway so I can avoid customs snooping around figuring out my stealth opreation.

On that note, I found t5 fixtures and I found t5 bulbs but they are from 2 diffrent stores. And the size of the fixture is 51cm Long,31 cm wide, but the bulbs are listed at 55 cm.

Im wondering how this plays out? Do they really have t5 fixtures that are made for a certain type of bulb? Or do all t5 bulbs fit all t5 fixtures of the same wattage? Could this just be a plain missprint?

The most interesting thing is two of my friends use T8's and they seem to do much better in veg than T5's but if you are flowering with t5's than I can understand.

Other than that I am not going into details, there are two spectrums I believe 3200 and 6500 or something. I wouldn't use t5's to flower though that is just my opinion I don't think they have it in them to grow dense buds.

I think they make t5 fixtures all the way up to ten feet long. You will have to buy the bulbs that fit and get a few extra. You could also rig up a yard light.

This. There are both spectrums. I've never flowered under T5s. So I can't comment there. But I have seen people state that scrog method works well when using them.
But they're great for veg. No noise. Little to no heat. I've had plants grow up into them and get very minimal damage. That was after hours of contact. And like Dr.Pecker said buy extra bulbs. Always have a few handy in case ones defective and burns out.

Depending on area I would suggest an LED over t5's only because no bulb replacement and pretty cheap. But I don't know you might be trying to cover a huge area and T5's work real well at that. I just hate broken bulbs especially when you buy more online and they ship half broken ones.

How do you get a half broken bulb?

Okay so i realize I put down little info and u guys cant read my mind so here goes. Im setting up 1 growbox for 2 mothers almost 2 feet wide,3.5 feet long and 3.5-4.5 feet tall, slanted roof. There will be a growbox for veg aswell, 2 feet wide, 10 feet long and 3,5-4,5 tall.

Then there will be a flowering area 14 feet long 4 feet wide and 4,5 to 5,7 feet tall. Im going to run 2x 600 watt hps on flowering spot. And im uaing 250w cfl 6400K on the mothers at the moment.

So I need bulbs that match the fixture then, is this normal or am I experiencing this because of the lack of growshops in norway?

Also Dr.pecker what do you mean by yard light? Like making it on my own?

Im seeing t8 bulbs and fixtures are way cheaper and alot easier to find here in norway so I'm going with t8 for my veg room. Thanks for the tip King Arthur!

Edit: Forgot to ask, the does it matter how the fixture looks, reflective material it uses etc? Can i buy say 6 of these(36w version): http://www.clasohlson.com/no/Takarmatur/Pr364834000 and put them up in pairs of 2 to cover my almost 20 square feet (almost 2 feet wide and 10 feet long) veg room ?
