forgot to answer your earlier question, regarding the sticks. I just get three of them, form a triangle and then place the smartpot ontop of that, keeps the drainage going and promotes good oxygen supply to the roots

yea, any sticks will work, the whole thing simply allowing air to get to the bottom of the smartpot, helps drainage as well as the roots.
Pretty much anysize will work, obviously within reason
