I hear ya man, I like cooking at home, there's nothing they sell out there that I can't cook better at home (or die trying.). But this is not a cooking site. In the old days we were only dealing in watts and it was very simple. 600 was better than 400. Now the numbers are meaningless. Every manufacturer comes up with some new number to describe their light. I can't even keep track of them all anymore.

The hotter the air coming out, the hotter the heatsink was that it just came over. Remember, the heatsink is still warmer than the air coming off it. 3-1/2 months isn't really indicative of whether it will last 70,000 hours (16 years)

Almost anything they sell (food-wise) is better than what I can cook at home. Making coffee is a challenge for me.
 
Nice looking light. Love my vero 29's! My grows do finish quicker now. Where were you 18 months ago. Cob lights are not that cheap to build. Drivers.

I see where you're coming from. If it weren't for the impressive efficiency hurdles that LED/COB technology has made in recent years, the wattage standards for growing crops would be more relative with one another.

I'd like to cover those canyons of confusion to the best of my ability with Heaven Bright; if there is something that you aren't seeing on the product pages , that you personally feel would make it easier for others to proceed when choosing a fixture, please o' please shed some insight!

same here. I just post because I know optic is reading and it is my chance to let them know how I feel. I go to their website and all I see is a metal suitcase suspended in mid air with a bunch of tech specs I don't understand. I come here and a member posts a picture over his crop and then it starts making sense.

ok, I've trashed this thread out enough, time for me to lay low and do more reading and less posting

and no, my best food is probably not any better than your best light, it's kind of hit and miss, but I have noticed, a good light can make the food taste much better

As far as made in the USA? Optic and heavenbright are the closest thing their is too that word! The Guts to these 2 companies fixtures are highgrade componets! I havnt seen anything else I would spend my own $ on! I am done buyin monos! Next for me if it wasn't runnin optic or heavenbright -I would be finishin up My own osram contraption!

16years? I will be changing chips once every 12 months or so with Version3s????????4s???????5s
