I would open pollinate only the best males and females and select and inbreed from their especially if your after that purple.

Just heard about Heath Robinson's Black Rose and he has it F9 and she breeds true for purple-pink buds without cooling the temps unfortunately he don't sell them but I talked to him and he may hook me up with beans for free on his next seed run hopefully.

thanks bluntmassa, so to get to F9 i need to just keep crossing successive generations and keeping to same pheno type 9 times? fuck man im au naturale here relying on the giant growlight in the sky..thats 9yrs away..i will be 60 something then..ohh well, it keeps us off the streets i guess

Use all your plants to make your seeds unless one is a hermie or something else undesirable (like, as in major negative recessive).
Right on. That's my plan with the Rosetta Stone. After the open pollination (assuming I find a stand out female in the original pack of seeds) is there any harm in taking a male or two from the open pollination seeds and back crossing to the best female, or....?

Edit: sorry georgio, not trying to hijack your thread

No harm. Might turn out well. Just for the sake of preserving the genetics I always recommend open pollination. People doing 1:1 crosses to keep their favorite line going are usually disappointed that they cannot find every plant they were looking for in the seeds they make - whether they know it or not.

thanks for this info, so when you say open pollination with 5 seeds, do you mean if for eg theres 2 males & 3 gals...do i just let the 2 males pollinate the 3 girls altogether at the same time?

Exactly. Although personally I'd make another little grow box for the males and flip em on their own and collect the pollen and then do a few lowers on each female and still have some bud to smoke. For your purposes this would work well. Doesn't matter the ratio of males to females, just let em all go. Hopefully you get at least one male and female. If you only get females, you can still preserve the line with feminized seed and still do an open pollination. Just a little more work.

Agreed, this sounds like the best option if you can. Get some 30-50ppm colloidal silver just in case you only get females. Take cuttings off all of them before you flip that way you can reverse one to pollinate the rest when you know the sex :)

thanks mo, ive never done the colloidal silver thing before so i may ask you for further advice if it comes to it please, ive got some old gibberillic acid, i fucked around with it about 8yrs ago trying to nanner up some girls and got it on my skin, strangely about a week later i got an unusual lump on my chest, it freaked me thinking some sort of cancer was on its way..so i never touched it again, anyway that lump disappeared after about 1 month..it was nothing i guess
