That system is fucked..I timed my use and I was online more and LOST activity...its fucked...the paid subscriptions are back...$1.00 per month..

The subject came up the other day about brownies and girl guides.
Did any of you chicks ever join when you were kids?

I remember going to the brownies meeting when I was young. My girlfriend and I walked to our public school to sign up. We were supposed to sit quietly on the mats placed on the floor in the gym and wait for a guide guide to show up and tell us what to do.

After a while I got bored so decided to climb the ropes in the gym. I was so very proud of myself because I made it all the way to the top. The only trouble was I had not thought of how to get back down.
When the girl guide finally came in she freaked when she saw me and I slid down with my hands only to get rope blisters all over my hands.

Needless to say, I did not get enrolled in brownies. They woldn't take me. I was disqualified from brownies cause I was too bad. :evil:

Gosh. I was even bad as a kid. :?

I did the cubs, scouts..air cadets, army cadets and militia.. the army cadets was the freaky one... I remember that we were like 15 and running through a field wearing these way too big cover-alls, while carrying an automatic rifle and a 25lb pack..while running through a tank training course, old (young at time) old twisty fell into a tank trench and damned near drowned...plus that night some putz blew off the end of his foot with an SMG (sub machine gun).. I'm out of here..... Tried the girl guides....didn't get in.........must have been the rifle...

I never did brownies or girl guides myself (not for me), I was into sports. My daughter started in Sparks (pre-brownies) last year and totally loves it (she's not so sporty, lol). It is a great program for girls, just not all girls. :mrgreen::peace:

yeah I have to agree. I don't think I would have liked it all anyway. Besides which, I went to camp most years so learned lots of outdoorsy things from there. If I would have had to sell cookies I would have eaten half of them. :twisted::mrgreen:

I did not say much about the plants I had outside as I was going away and wanted to keep everything low key as my mom was here looking after my cat.

Now I am back home I am enjoying life so much more. Everything has taken on a whole new meaning. Even doing housework is a joy and I never thought I would say that.

Today i have spent doing some more yard work. I wish I had posted the pics I had of my garden before I went away because I cleared out my computer so they are all on a disk somewhere.
Now I have a few pics to share with you. One of my plants is about a foot taller than me and I am 5'8"

The other three are a few feet tall but I started them VERY late. :?

My echinecea is in full bloom. Can you find the little dog?
Before I left all my lilies were in full bloom as well as my blazing starts and I have hundreds of them.

I can go into the bathroom and have a bubble bath and take as long as I want. Its a slice of heaven right now. :hump:
