WOS Strawberry Blue - need input

Anybody else grow this strain? I (like a lot of other people) got feminized Strawberry Blue seeds as a freebie from Herbie's. I'm growing one in what is my first grow. Plant grew really well, but now 3-1/2 weeks into 12/12, I found a few male flowers on it. Not a ton, but 4 or 5, one of which had opened, and I now probably will have seeds in my weeds. Bummer.

I plucked off the male flowers I saw, and will watch for more. Couple questions: Anybody else have problems with this strain turning hermaphrodite? Assuming some of the plants did get pollen on them, I would guess that the resulting seeds would have to be feminized, correct? I mean, they are female plants. All 4 are producing nice buds, for only 25 days into flower. The plant DNA has to be female, though, I would assume, meaning all seeds would have to be female, too, right? Or am I missing something?

I was reading a thread about it not very long ago because I also have a freebie of it from Herbies.
I didnt see any mention of hermies in that thread.

As far as it goes, yes the progeny will be female with a chance of going hermie. If you were running 100 degree temps and inconsistent light schedules and it hermied then the hermie trait wouldnt pop up in the progeny at a high rate. Looking at the picture, is that just reflection or is the top cola withered?

That might be another one of my problems. I have a bit of a heat issue. Temps have been running between 75-85, occasionally as high as 88, with humidity between 35 and 45%, generally. I guess I need more air circulation in my grow room.

Another question on Strawberry Blue, for anybody who has grown it before. Does SB tend to be a very fast flowering strain? I'm at about 43 days into flower, and it looks to me like it is almost ready to harvest - like I'm thinking this week. Pistils are now over 50% orange/brown, and under the scope, the trichomes appear to be maybe 25% milky. No brown tichomes yet, but all are full and sticky and starting to turn milky. Would 45-48 days of flower be typical for Strawberry Blue?

I let mine go 64 days but would have let it go longer if I could have. I'd say at least 75 days for the pheno I had. The colas were huge and dense, very big yielder. Mine didn't smell or taste right but that's most likely because I used shit chemical ferts and soil and reaped it before it was fully mature. I'd love to grow it again the proper way some day. Check out my journal if you wanna see the pics.

I grew it 2 times . I had one go full Hermie on me so yes it is common with this strain . I had 3 at the time 2 were fine and one had bananas everywhere. As far as finishing goes take her all the way out to 70days and not a day less . More flowering time gave me a better terp profile in mine and heavier stone due to more Amber trichs. Don't be in a rush and she'll reward ya even if she pollinated your garden . I had a cotton candy get me in early flower due to a low light branch Hermieing . Oh well never again .
