Not necessarily. I got lucky once and found a plant on the edge of a ditch and we chopped it. It was good shit. I will say it looked better than most ditch and thats why we chopped. That being said, you can turn ditch into bho. I was making "honey oil" before there was bho. That's how we got through some dry spells. Don't use PVC as we did. Once again, this info was on erowid waaay before BHO became so popular. Early 2000's

I wish I had that kind of luck to just find a random plant. I've always wanted to do that on a country road somewhere. If there aren't any houses nearby she just might make it lol. How often do you pay attention to vegitation while you drive, seriously though? I have to ask was it in a dumb spot that stuck out or just tucked away and you happen to notice it?

It would depend on what kind of seeds and the potency of the genetics maybe you have a neighbor growing some good stuff and some seed ended up near you. But chances are its gona be some swaggy junk. Can't hurt to smoke it and find out just make sure to dry and cure it properly to have the best chances of it being smooth.

Honestly I am surprised we weren't busted. It was on a main highway and there were cars driving by as I cut it down with a ginsu. This was before internet and thankfully I had read about curing somewhere. Probably High Times. Ironically before this I had only smoked a few times. I became a stoner for sometime after this.
