That was the first thing I noticed. I grew up in metro Detroit where all of the neighborhoods are clusters of cookie cutter homes. Even the best ones have similar worth up and down the streets.
I saw many instances of shack, mansion, mobile home, shack, plantation in eastern KY. People there take it for granted, but where I grew up, you just didn't see that.
Doing home health in that area was an experience. I would visit one home without running water, then the next home would have maid quarters nicer than my house.
