Ok guys plants r WW and some buhda cheese their r in 15ltr pots with biobizz allmix soil I'm 8days since the flip and I've encountered a problem that I've never seen before......last night as I went to water I noticed alot of pure white things on top of my soil my first reaction was fuk no I have a team of insect in my soil......immediately i went to def con 1....but......on closer inspection I was relieved to see that in fact it was not insects but alot of my fine roottips that were sticking through my topsoil roothairs asswell.......as I mentioned I use allmix soil for my medium but when I pot up I also put a 2 inch layer of canna coco on top .....i do this simply because I like the way the coco absorbs and holds the water and also it's a good way to gauge when your soil needs water(the 2inch layer of coco dries before the soil below giving me a good indication as when to water).......I proceeded to then fill the remaining inch or so at the top of my pots with some perlite so that no light will hit my root and watering and drainage will stay the same or maybay even be better........my question is will this be the best way or should I just use more soil ???I am dangerously close to the top of my pot as it is ...so wot ever I do will need to work(can't take anything I put in out in case I destroy the fine roots)also I'm thinking if I use soil then they will work their way through the new soil.....here's some pics to let you see wot I'm on about.........
