Outdoor strains

looking to grow a plant or two outside for the summer . Just need some ideas on strains that thrive in heat , and produce better outdoors thanx

Many if not all Sativa's love that extra heat, but being tropical they like a lot of damp too, but avoid moss or peats as they hold nutes too

Darth...It looks like yours are 3 weeks behind...LOL here are mine back a few days ago...and mind you I live less than 100 miles from Canadian Border.These went in the ground on April 28th under some mini greenhouses I made from 2' tall garden fence formed into a circle with a clear 30 gallon garbage bag wrapped over it.Plants survived some temps down into the low 20's with these over them.You can now see that the girls have grown right through the fencing now.

Where are you located, you're a couple weeks late for seeds but right on time for cuttings if you're near California.

I have cuttings I can take no pure sativa tho only hybrids and indicas, maybe I'll do that just to give it a shot

no . The hole threads purpose was to find a strain that tolerates high heat well and grows better outside then inside because the plants in growing inside right now don't do well with high heat

I'd have to ask my older brother, I got them from him. During a heat wave they were all standing straight up leaves pointing to the sun loving it, was the best I've ever seen them look, while the rest of the plants were hating it.

It was very satvia, very tall, branchy and lanky 10f tall super cropped, excellent smoke however yeild was so so. Not much trimming, mostly bud vs leaves, 10footer gave aprox 2lbs AAA smoke. I say yeild is so so because you could get three, four times that with a plant that size with sour d or blue dream.

It's definitely fire, so the smaller yeild is ok with me, as I am sorta known to be a pot snob.....so I've been told.

you think so ??? i am north almost 60th parallel 2 weeks ago temps were 2 - 4 degrees C or in your terms 35.6 degrees F those plants are almost 3 - 3 1/2 feet tall and bushes i think there doing rather well here is one plant Blue berry strain in a pot i will take some pictures today for how wide and tall pictures do not do it justice

Any strain will tolerate heat better outdoors. A plant that would be stressed at 90 inside can handle 115 outside no problem as long as they have plenty of rootspace and water. The abundant fresh air outdoors is one factor that makes them more heat tolerant. Like how grows with added Co2 can handle higher temps.

Some good strains to grow outdoors are Green Crack, Headband, Alien OG, Blue Dreams, most kushes do well outdoors but some are slow veggers. I'd pick a couple strains you like and see how they do. They may surprise you with how well they acclimate.

Just razzing you darth...they look really nice.I guess us northern boys can grow the girls just as well as those so called experts from Cali...LOL.Oh the determination....
