Heard it on the radio. They wouldn't lie, would they? Some dude from some collage, blah, blah, blah. I didn't say anything about pre-ops, anyway. I assume the "20 X" average would be the average for the whole population. Now you got me wondering. What if the pre-ops had a suicide rate 50 X average? That would mean the operation actually helped reduce the suicide rate. So, what sounded like a reasonable assumption may not be valid after all.

Because Pada, I truly believe that someone who wants to change their sex is mentally ill, and needs psychological and maybe psychiatric help. Because I think the desire to carve or change up once's own body so as to change sex amounts to the desire for self-mutilation.

Instead of radical shit like that, they need help (medical, psychological, psychiatric) accepting and coping with, and eventually thriving in, who they naturally are.

It just seems natural to me, Pada. That nature randomly assigns sex at a specific male-to-female ratio as to maximize survival of the species. And in order to change sex, it takes synthetic hormones and somewhat radical surgical procedures. This just seems so radical.

I'm not sure what might change my mind. Do you have any suggestions?

I'm open for consideration.
