yeah we get medical in texas from time to time but it was expensive
any ideas on how to go about getting it? im a little shy about asking since in my state we have cops trying to sell us bud to get us fucked.

Too bad Texas is still a strict state for marijuana. The safest bet would to use your existing doctor's recommendation and just purchase at cannabis clubs in the areas you are visiting.
