Dyna-Gro Nutrient Help + Grow Equipment

Hey guys,

I'm new here and just blew over 250 bucks on 20 different strains. Excited to get started DWC style for my first grow. I accept errors may happen but I live in a state where this isn't legal so moving soil in and out of my rental will probably fuck me.

I have 2 1000w Virtual Sun air cooled hoods, magnetic ballasts, a 4x8 tent for flower and a 5x5 for mothers and grows.

Gonna do Pineapple Express because it's quick (And damn can I not wait to smoke my own shit) and Great White Shark because Great White Shark.

Bought Dyna FP, Bloom, Pro-tekt and Magpro. Using R/O water. I see that Dyna FP has 2% Calcium. Will this be enough or should I supplement? I grow shrooms so I have gypsum on hand in large bag-fulls.

Going Rockwool to Hydroton. I put one layer of hydroton and then the cube then fill in the rest and bring the water up to the bottom of the net pot (5 gallon RDWC 8 bucket system for flowering, 5 gallon DWCs for veg) and turn my bubbles on? Roots don't directly touch water in the beginning right?

Look good? The only thing I was concerned about was that it stays at 600 ppm. Is this low?

I have a lot of info saved and have been reading everything which is what finally lead me to settle on Dyna-Gro nutes after all of the hard work Homebrewer has put into his experiments.

your feed chart is using DG grow and bloom, NOT FP. And charts are just a guideline, but I like that chart, doesn't overdue anything.

personally, i use FP, protek and cal/mag cause I use r/o. That's it.

I was just going to switch out grow for FP and test it with my PPM meter and see where I'm at and where I need to cut back on the FP.

I forgot that your best gauge is your plants and PPM meter. If PPM goes up, feed less, if it goes down they're hungry, right?

Also is CalMag better then Mag Pro?

Like I said earlier, the 2% Calcium scares me, will that be enough for my plants or should I supplement with Gypsum or Calmag? MagPro has N and K in it and a high P and Calmag seems to only have some N in it. Will the high P and moderate K affect veg?

FP all the way through won't give me a nitrogen lockout will it?

Do what the chart says, dont mess with the proven. Dyna Is sweet for peoples FTG. You should get good results. Dont forget about pH levels. Your Ppm can be perfect, but ph will still cause you problems and lockouts. Youre going to use a 1000w for veg too? Can you dim your ballast? 1000w hps/mh may burm up your little babies.

In my experience if your moms are under 1000s the clones that come off of them will be ready to go right under 1000w no problem.

In a 5x5?
Bucket plus hood leaves like what? About 2'-3', mothers will be fine, but maybe a clone/veg 2-3 weeks box would be better off with a t series lighting. Or led.

I put my clones straight under 1000s. If the moms are under 1000s the clones will already be use to the light and not burn. They can even go straight out side in the sun. Dark heart nursery does the same with their clones, they say they are sun ready right away.

I also do it to conserve energy. But i also dont grow more than six plants at a time. Too much time, effort, money etc.

They're under 16 T5s, two seperate 8 bulbs.
I plan on messing with a lot of recipes :bigjoint:

Oh and I will be LSTing for my first grow using the circumference LST (LSTing in a circle around my DWCs, then transfer those to an RDWC) and beyond. I'm going to do 3 Pineapple Express and 3 Great White Shark. Veg the GWS for longer then a month and put the PE into flower under a 1k light as soon as it reaches all around the DWC.

Taking four cuttings from each plant (Totaling in 12 cuttings of each strain) and whichever pheno performs best I'll make one of the cuttings into a mother and get the rest going in perpetual grow style.

I grow shrooms, Orchids and Venus Flytraps so I'm used to doting on my plants.

Wow 25. Thats impressive. What strains are you using? Are they genetically enhanced to thrive in unstable conditions? I was using a 1000w mh bulb and it burned my clones.so i use t5s instead. How can you guarantee a plant not burning? Got any links? Im going to clone my veg plant right now.
