Any advice on these strains???

I would love some jack herer but its just like why I won't do diesel....I'm scared of the stretch. When I don't have height restrictions they will be the first on my list. Or when I try scrog.

nah, it doens't stretch that much though man, I bet the others you picked will keep up with the jack, it's not that bad.
Trust me, if you get it, you'll be HAPPY
You have 6 feet it won't get that big unless you vege it for months.
Flower it at two feet or less and you'll have ZERO problems.

I will seriously consider it. I have always wanted to grow it. I think when I lived in Alaska one of my weed man sold it exclusively. He couldn't tell me but I think it was.

If my tent Max's out at 6.5 ft after container, reflector, and space between lights what do u think my max plant would be.?I'm thinking 3-3.5 ft. Doesn't jack at least double in flowering?

I been growing mendo purps and love the hell out of it, grows great in vertical setups and is good topped or untopped. Fast grower, erkle is the slowest grower ever, both have thick stems and stinky, the God bud I have going is very nice and easy to grow. Both would be great beginner plants that provide dank organic meds.

so do you mean you have 6.5 feet total?
or is that taking into consideration your lights too?
Either way, my point is most varieties will double when flowered.
If you have a ceiling that is 6.5 feet high, that sucks.. after containers and the lights you'd be at 4 feet, that's pretty short...
It's pretty easy to train them by the way, or you could top at the 3rd and fifth nodes. or 2nd and fourth... or not at all and get a tomato trellis-ring..

yea lst'ing is so easy, and if you have the extra vege time, I recommend pinching the stems too, it's stressful for the plant, but if you have dense nugs you want to do it.
it'll double or triple the stems thickness and size.
Slows them down though.
But if you have four feet to grow in...
I like the tomato rings, use the lower ring and train the plant to the circle as it grows, and you'll have 6-10 growing points. plus it's shorter which is the point.

I agree with grease. The tomato cages are an easy, inexpensive way to control your canopy. You can see in the pic below how I tuck shoots under the top rung on the tomatoe cages. You could use the middle rung if you wish to do this as well. You could even snip the top section off if its too high.

yea, I use the lowest ring for smaller plants, and the middle one for bigger ones, and I tie them all to the ring and have a nice little six-pack of colas per plant, it fits nicely under the lights because the ring trains them to be more symmetrical.
I fit nine 12/15 gallon smartpots under my two lights, and it works great.
either two plants per pot of one, depending on what I am doing, lately I have been doing two small plants per 15 gal, and one in the 12s, (strain huntin)

if it's a real jack herer and a real gorilla glue#4, THOSE two are keepers.
I've done the grapeape and romulan too, the romulan I did yrs and yrs ago and was really good, the grapeape I didn't like, I have only run one purple strain that I have liked (the all mighty purple paralysis)
But hands down the jack herer is in my top 3 all time... I grew that one for over a decade, and just recently lost her (note to growers everywhere, DOUBLE tag your strains)

Mis-identification is the worst...
The Chernoby I have heard great things about too.
So i'd go with the gorilla glue, the romulan, the jack, and the Chernobyl.
Keep in mind that the jack likes to stretch a bit when triggered, about doubles.
the gorilla is a stout shorty, and the romulan I had was in between.
I would flower them all no higher than 18" to be safe, especially if you want them au natural.

i wouldn't wish it on anyone, i keep having to look for a "better strain", it's exhausting, and i waste a LOT of energy on the different speeds and height of all these different strains and phenotypes..
Sorta rewarding, i guess, i mean i do run across some special unique strains, but for every one strain i like, i grow out 4 or 5 i don't like.
I could be stomping ass with a monocrop, rolling in the lbs...
But no..
