Old School Skunk and Pine

My smoking career started in the late 70s as a teen then quit for a long time. I am interested in some old/new school genetics. I've always loved super skunky and piney weed. Lookin for any new new-old genetics that have the flavor and aroma and a good high is a plus too. Got any recommendations for some seed co. / breeder that can fill my needs. So many strains these days. So many breeders & seeders I don't know where to start.

What's your favorite skunk / pine? I want to fill my grow room with that stinky love.

I had a similar search in mind a while back. So i went with Shoreline. The stem does smell of skunk pine and hash of old school indica. But it didn't translate to flavor. And was much weaker with a funky(not in a good way) flavor. Boring sedative stone!
Good luck on your quest!

Yeah man, this same question comes up every few weeks.

We are all still looking for the real skunk and we are all still looking for the real christmas tree.

Seems both are extinct...

Of course there is always the d-bag who gets on and says "my buddy has it all but he wont share with anyone"... kinda bs, but outside of that nope. extinct.

My mom always said the same thing before she passed. She swore that the modern skunk tasted nothing like the cannabis of her youth. We also never found strains like Panama Red or Maui Wowie when she was in chemo. She wanted the old stuff like she remembered. She loved Sour Diesel, Black Rose, and Nepalese, but longed for the same stuff she grew up with.

Road kill skunk ?
I've never had Road Kill Skunk but I once got to try what's supposed to be Road Kill Unicorn. It was very good, had purple bits throughout the nug, *very* strong, but had an oily-berry flavor along with the skunk and a sort of oily pine taste too. It was great.

There are immensely piney plants in OG lines in my experience. I guess it's probably different than what people expect though, there are rank undertones and some lemon. But a lot of the pine terpene is there.

I made my own super skunk using a flying dutchmen skunk 1 and a sensi afghani. I can't grow it where i am now due to the smell. Smells like 10 day old road kill in the middle of summer, really really bad. First time I grew it out, I had to use 2 carbon filters and it still stunk my house out!

Those piney og's are really like comparing skunk 1 to real skunk. They may be piney, but nothing like the pure pinetree (christmas tree) like we used to get.
I am working with Romulan atm trying to breed towards the pine.

it appears RKS is no longer available and everything else is sold out Reserva Privada has a make but seems to be sold out too.

I don't think that's a good comparison. Skunk #1 has no skunk undertones in it at all anymore. I have an OG dom plant right now that reeks like pinesol and nothing else. It's not a pine tree per se, but man, it's nice smoke and I suspect those pine terpenes which I'm sure are by far the most dominant are having a big impact.
