When was the last time his highness graced SO with his presence, touting all the wonderful things his cocksucking government is going to do for the auto sector? The people in the background look so unhappy.

Absolutely things can change. Will it be all unicorns and rainbows, of course not, but it can only improve. Mulcair , and the NDP are vehemently opposed to pipelines, BC is opposed and now with an NDP gov in Alberta it is dead. Justin has started to spell out some of his platform. They are both for less government interference. I like Trudeau but I can honestly see an protest vote against Justin for his stance on C-51 giving the NDP power. We just saw it happen in Alberta and we saw the orange wave in Quebec last election.

and this is the prob with our gov system
3-4 groups, all slightly different but all tied to greed and power, green has a 5% chance, ndp 30% , liberals 45% chance and pc well if to many people slip green ndp and libs itll be another pc majority. jt&libs only use mj for votes imo and then itll take 5years to be legal then someone new will be in office.
all the undecided votes will fuck it all up. I will hide if king harpo gets back in.
I also think it needs to be mandatory 18+ voting. the people are tired and just give up and don't vote or care to. that is what kills voting.
ill vote liberal not for the weeed, but I waisted a vote last time with ndp.
but I don't like jt and his lies and thinks he is the shit.
and why does the amount of $ a platform has, dictate who wins, and the one who has the better scheme?
$ and religion should not be involved in running a country. the people need to vote on everything we do and not the gov. monthly. if its our fucking world, we need to say, not just pick some chump and let him take over our lives.
and when we say no the gov just does not go ahead and do shit anyway.
no wonder people snap like I did last week and go on crazy killing sprees. FTW!
don't worry your safe behind your pc screen....

Absolutely...people should be made to vote...you can always spoil your ballot in the box if you want, but people who don't vote are the first to bitch...did you say you snapped last week? Hmmph

I think if there were truly different candidates or atleast a candidate that looks somewhat honest then more people would vote.
You cant force people to vote because that would be taking away the so called freedoms we are supposed to enjoy.
I often wonder who the people are that vote for the jedis and the marxists etc
I do agre with you guys tho that if you dont vote u lose all right to bitch.

it's the lesser of the evils that gets a vote.
i wish there was someone who more people liked so more would vote.
the politicians have lst so much credibility that i think people say why bother...I don't like anyone. that may be true but at least vote so the guy you don't like the most doesn't get in. i hope the new Government isn't Con...but if that's the way it happens, i hope it won't be a majority...way too much power for that little head of his.

I talk politics with my 16 year old... I asked who he would vote for in the next election if he could vote...he said liberal...they laugh at me because I just want throw things at the fucking TV when that prick or any of his puppets come on...but they also see how the current government treats people...admittedly, all politicians a corrupt to one degree or another, but to blatantly shove it into the people's faces who put you where you are is treasonous imo.

you have to pay for insurance, taxes, gas and food and a car license. so why should you have to vote?
you are forced to do more shit than you think is good for you, but you don't want mandatory voting? cmon this is the prob.
you want a great country than you need to be made to vote, if not you get what we have now. but our system is ok doka right torontoke? you don't vote do you/? but you bitch about harpo?

Lol i dont know what it is that i did or said to create such animosity im not going to argue and defend every post i put on here.

If you want to be free then mandatory voting kinda goes against it doesnt it?
I vote for anything that i can and actually convince others to vote as well.

Voting almost has to be taught and I don't know if that's the right way to put it, maybe it's the value of the vote should be taught...I knew a politician that wanted my vote so bad that he picked me, drove me to the polling station and drove me home...I didn't vote for him...but it did get me out to vote when I otherwise would not have....have we lost the 18-30 ish's to complacency regarding politics? And I wouldn't know where to start with how to make people get out vote and if they don't how to deal with it...

I think a young new generation type candidate would have to step out into the media preaching real change to draw out new young voters.
As said its usually the same three guys talking about continuing to do things the way they always have. We need an honest candidate that isnt squeeky clean and has a different vision for how to fix what has failed for so long.

that's a good question-how do you do mandatory voting? i think if there were better candidates..there'd be more voters.
i think when Obama ran the first time, they had an unbelievable turnout..his second term wasn't so great but that shows me that Canadians don't like who's running so they don't bother.
i also agree that if you don't vote-don't criticize. you had your chance!
