High Humidty During Dark Period

Greetings RUI'ers

So I've been combating high humidity as soon as my lights turn OFF at 6am.. Its very strange because I have never had this issue before.. I'm on 12/12 week 7 ( Flower )

Lights ON its between 47%-57% Lights OFF it gets up anywhere from 60%-87%

I have a small fan on 24/7

As the plants get bigger the room will get more humid. The only way to fix it imo is to get a dehumidifier. I battle with it in my room when they are huge. I use 2 kenmore 70 pints and it keeps it in check

Anything above 65% requires atmospheric pressure (elevation). If you live up high the only way would be a de-humidifier in a sealed room. Or a big de-humidifier. I always see your broad mite post bro lol. Humidity might help with that

I dont have them anymore wiped them out ... by restarting and treating the room before doing so. yeah those broad mites are little $h!ts ... its just weird because like I said Ive have plants this big in the same tent and never had this issue.

Why does the humidty go up when the Light is off? if I left the door unzipped would it help? I could easily black out my window downstairs so the room would be pitched black

It would definitely help to open the door, just make sure that room is 100% dark. Imo it goes up because when the lights are on, they put off heat that dehumidifies the air. When the temperature gets cooler, the humidity goes up as well. If I let my room drop to low when the lights are off, the dehumidifiers have a harder time keeping up with the humidity.

Heat may encourage mold in humid environments but it also dries moisture at the same time. When your lights are on in a confined location, the heat per square inch will be greater then where you are pulling air from, resulting in less moisture in the air.

Measure the humidity outside your grow door. If it is less then your grow room then yes, cracking the door would help

Yeah. Your lights off temps are cooler than your lights on temps. As the temp drops the RH increases.

Fawk, Well I just spent 20 mins blacking out the window. theres a slight light but nothing major.. remember its not pitch black in nature with the moon light... i got it pretty damn blacked out though ! ... i have my tent door unzipped at the top right corner and the fan is blowing through the opening (pushing the air from inside the tent into the other room) its now at 69% instead of 80%

Do you think its because I had the tent zipped up? Now I have the window blacked out I can keep the door unzipped during dark period...

There is a formula for "CFM's" taking in consideration of your grow room size - "cfm's" are located on a fan box - if you want formula let me know. You must have correct air movement. grow room air should be "replaced" every 2-3 minutes when light are on - have you considered and exhaust fan. Size of grow room? Whit tents one must have correct air flow/movement/replacement because of their (the tent) is air tight vs a closet grows,ect. Do you "air" out your tent during the daytime at all? Consider a larger fan and only run at light cycle

If the RH of the room outside the tent is to your liking then just more ventilation. Air needs to be replaced even when lights are off because plants expel co2 at night. If RH in the room outside the tent is high the dehumidifier is in order

Good news, I'm running my 400cfm inline fan on 24/7 so its sucking in the air in the tent when the light is on and off ...my RH low is 28% the high is 55%

right now my tent is sitting at 32% w/ 84F
