Organic cloning? How do you clone?

I have a buddy who switched from hydro to organic soil. He turned his flood tables into soil beds.

I used the timer on the pump so the pump doesn't get to hot in the water. Constantly running.

i just have better luck with distilled, but keep in mind I don't have the best success rate anyways, i'm not at home enough to spray them and haven't invested in an automated one, I did alright with a homemade bubbler for picky strains, but it's slow going.
Cloning and trimming...

yep. Exactly. I'd just buy the king cloner off amazon. Mine of a DIY cloner. It was trial and error dialing it in for the first month. The PVC frame. I redid the frame everyday sometimes 5 times a day for a month to find the exact amount of pressure from the sprayers. So the cuts are getting sprayed but the seems of the lid are not. It was leaking out the lid for a while til I found the right amount of water pressure.

The king cloner will cost like $20 more than a diy and its already dialed in . Still add the air pump and 15 min timer. If you already have most of everything..... Just dialing mine in was a constant pain. The clones were doing great. It was just the leaking.

nice dude, thanks, I think ya sold me, I was on the verge of doing it on my own, but honestly don't have the time, so again, thanks.

Yes I bought mine for 70 dollars and works like a champ cheap easy and effective. I was making one out a big plastic tub and like hyroot says messing with jets adding.more jets now not enough pressure blah blah blah lol. But it and it's worth it lol

I used to simply use Rockwool cubes soaked at ph 5.5, a little cloning gel, and a t5 strip light untill rooting occurs and I can transplant

might buy a mini aero cloner I built before but to to get the pressure ideal and not to spill I'd rather get one ready to use lol me being lazy but the aloe method sounds rad as well ✌

No way! I was thinking of doing that for my next batch of clones I need to cut since I threw away my pH probe cause I'm sire it was bad. I always soak my rooting plugs in 5.5 pH water and use that water for my tray. But since I don't have a probe right now, I was wondering if I could just bubble some ewc and molasses for a day or two and use that, since the Benes regulate pH. I am scared to try because my veg room is nearly empty right now. I don't have room for mistakes; I'll run out of plants if I lose a whole tray of cuttings.

I've had great success cloning with HPA vs LPA. LPA works just fine but like every unit has temp issues. Been there done that many times. Sadly a chiller is required for high clone production. HPA doesn't need it cool, 70 -75f is acceptable for ambient and root zone temp.
Air, warmth and constant moisture is all that is required. Hormones help but aren't required for success.

I've also used every single method previously mentioned and TBH, they all have their downfalls, but do work. To each their own. If it works, don't fix it.

I use a DIY aerocloner bucket with 4 spots for 2" netpots. I think the secret to effectively using an aero type cloner is to use a timer that goes in increments of 1 minute or less. I use a CAP DNE recycle timer that is set to 1 min on 1 min off which keeps the 2 gal or so of tap water I run in it nice & cool: no root rot; no chiller used. I can even veg my clones for a few more weeks if I add some rapid start...or even longer if I add an airstone; not organic I know but once the new roots hit my recycled mix with some mycorrizea & aloe they green up nicely & form a healthy root system w/the quickness. I don't even use root toner just cut em with a razor, score up the base, & pop em in the cloner...10 days later got roots poppin off.

A recycle timer was the best investment I made for my cloning procedure. I set mine to 4:00 on 1:30 off and my water is always cool. Haven't dealt with slime, root rot, temp issues etc..after buying this thing

I use dirt, cloning powder, and little MMJ jars with holes in the bottom. I use a clear, one-gallon, water jug as a humidity cover with three sides cut to make a hinge. There is almost an inch of dirt on the bottom and the roots will poke out and into that dirt. It also helps them not dry out. I have about 100% rooting success across many strains for years. Some do take a long time. Ignore them. Just spray the leaves, keep the dirt damp, and wait. They'll nearly all make it to rooting. I will let them sit a month sometimes just to not disturb them by knocking the (hopefully rooted) whole deal out of the container to check. If it's not rooted I gently tuck it all back in the little containers I use and wait longer.
