So you can use tomato nutes, here's what I've been using for toms and peppers for
the past 20 months with the best results of my growing fruit in coir for 16 years,
weighing and mixing my own chems. The formula is from an OZ tom grower and
been very happy with it, he did all the ppm and all that BS, he just gave me the
weight's and what the EC should roughly be.
If anybody mixes their own, no package plus other added ingredients, just weigh
you own, why or how can I improve this formula to grow?
My cobs are at ORD waiting for a jet plane, about to 40-thieves some drivers,
and a bean headache, to many choices, and coir, only $3. a bale here or should
I say rice bag full.
This is a 3 part formula, I left out the potassium sulphate for fruit development.
Yes, lower the EC. Please, no ppm numbers, only gram and .xx or .xxx there of.

I'd be going light on the MKP instead until bloom, but otherwise that looks like a mix for a concentrated stock solution. How much of each do you use per gallon?

I`d sub the toxic EDTA for DTPA and the solubor for boric acid to lose the sodium component (every little helps). Did you calculate the elemental ppms? its way too early in the morning to be crunching numbers ;)
Eyes must be playing tricks, looks like the working solution has a helluva lot of Fe and Mg.

Ttystikk, looks to be a standard 1:100, so 10ml of A and B per litre

I'm a gal and feet person, but all the weighing and water amounts I've
learned in metric form, and scales for fine measurement aren't in pounds.
I mix up a 10L. of A and B with this formula for toms, I want to know if
it will work as is, or what would a good make over would look like.
As far as EDTA vs DTPA, the later is for use with a higher pH water, why
mess with a pH reducing chem, again, I didn't make this formula up, so
I don't know what he did or why he used what.
My old formula also had MAP in it, but I'm just looking for new numbers.
Here's the breakdown of what's at heart.

Judging by the N and K its for the veg stage, seedling to 4th true leaf. The high level of P suggests it was formulated for recirculated hydro rather than run to waste. The recipe i use for the same stage has a similar EC (2.4-2.5) but slightly different make up as its run to waste.
NO3: 274, NH4: 12, P: 39, K:403, Mg: 54, Ca: 240, S:97,Fe: 2.2, Zn: 0.39 B: 0.43, Mn: 1.44, Cu: 0.28, Mo: 0.17

I know squat about about formulation of a formula, only how to mix the chems and get the
right EC in a bulk tank, very basic stuff, it dose grow good tom's here in the land of sticks
and in Oz.
Do you have any formula that I could mix up and give a try?
I'll be growing indoors under LED's in a few months after the HOT season and towards the
end of the rainy season when it cools down to the hi 60's. No A/C so I'm stuck with that time
frame. Probably short auto/fem 3' deep x 5' wide x 8' high area, possible a recirculation with
hydrotron.
Any thoughts??
