Thousands of dollars wasted, my new keep it simple method..

What's up TnT... Over the years (about 15ish) I've always chased the lastest and greatest nutes that I could get my hands on.. I've ran just about everything on the market. But over the years growing pot has become more of a burden then a pleasure as when I first started (and a hell of a lot less profitable) a couple years ago I got caught up in the organic scene. I was using the professional line of Nectar for the gods which costed me about $500 for a 10K cycle.. What's 500 when you got a 10K grow? Well money aside, the problem was mixing 10 bottles of shit was a real pain in the ass, then pHing it.. So this current run I wanted to keep it simple, instead of buying tons of over priced nutes, I just bought a 10 dollar bag of Foxfarms all purpose 5-5-5 and a box of dolomite lime mixed both with about 300 gallons of soil..didn't even read the directions just poured the whole bag in.. Well now I just water with RO water and that's it. And now I have the happiest, healthy plants and no more mixing tons of shit anymore. Just started flower about 10 days ago, now I'm about to add some bat guana for flower and that's it.. So hopefully I can help you all save some money and time. Keep it simple, stupid.. ;)

This run I didn't even top or train them just packed as many as I could under 4K and rocked it..1430755546272.jpg

I never wanted to get into this debate with you but the words organic, bottles, and PH don't go together. I know they bottle up shit and call it organic but............never mind, I don't care enough to go on. Good job switching to dry amendments, your plants will thank you.
Word.. it took me long enough to figure it out.. My problem was either I had friends that owned hydrostores or I ran one myself and I would get caught up in the hype.. But all though they say "organic" my guess the animals they came from were not.. bone and blood meal is some nasty ass shit.. I don't want to smoke that shit, I looking at going vegan one of these days..

Ten years ago I went by the adage "More is Better" After a few grows I realized that wasn't right. Then I got into spending a ton of money on nutes... I have a friend who grows nice plants by using good soil and a garden hose...

I still use nutes, etc. but have found less is better for me.

Huge fan of building a soil for veg, and amending with top dressing at flower.. Just RO the whole way. But some of that shit stinks for indoors.. So do the flowers tho

Like feed em..... That's almost twice what I would have used but it won't make it to harvest ..... Gonna need more calcium and potassium also
I said I used dolomite lime which is 22% calcium and bat guana has plenty of potassium.. I also used fish emulsion and kelp the first two weeks.

I'm running bio soil alongside hydro and I love the bio harvest. Ok, I'm using Bio Bizz so maybe it's not proper organic. Only trouble is that I get 42 g in soil as opposed to 60g in hydro, same pheno of course.

I'll stick to some soil on the side because some strains that I grow do better in soil.

How have your results compared so far? Also, did you find the soil a couple of days quicker?

Sure....... Can't wait to read the next thread about how broke and pathetic you are
Lol, that escalated quickly.. You do your thing and I will do mine.. Right now financially I am doing better then I have ever been.. Yeah paying rent, electricity and water for two houses can be kind of difficult in the beginning but in the long run it's very rewarding... I am not going to sink to your level and get in fight with you, I am better then that, so on that note have a great day partner.. ;)

Yes imo hydro finishes faster and yields more. But organic hands down, taste and burns way smoother. And I rather choose the simplicity of soil then the head ache of hydro. If my yield is suffering I buy more lights. Lol...

image.jpg I agree less is more. I'm not an organic guy but I have grown some real nice bud with just good old dirt (black gold) which has not much more than worm castings and Flora Nova one part nute with some super thrive here and there all top water. Under CFL lighting which they say can't be done.
