i used 1lb of unsalted butter , cooked on simmer with a small amount of bubbles, cooked for 90 minutes

strained etc. etc.

is the butter weak? i dont think its working


i used a little more than a quarter of really good weed.and a fat eigth of some ok shake.

oh and im making rice krispie treats the way that they make them on the box. so i used 1/2 cup butter,4 cups small marshmallows

Take 2 sticks of butter and 5 cups of water. Throw your weed in it and simmer for 30 minutes.Strain out the weed and then put the liquid in the frig and it will seperate and the cook with the butter.

That does seem a very lot of butter per Quarter .

2g of bud Per every hundred g,s of Butter . and 90 mins is not enough the 3 hour limit is when it all kicks in and changes the colour of the butter

2g per 100G GETS YOU WASTED .. And remember 3 hours at least always

must have been crappy ... I use about an ounce (wet) of shake - not even trimmings, ok, well a few - with 3/4lb butter and it was plenty strong when I made choco chip cookies using the normal recipe.

Mjetta nailed it! The rule of thumb is 1 ounce of weed for 1 lb of butter, you can always use more weed. Unless you want to eat a quarter pound of butter to catch a buzz, make it more potent next time...

That is just an insane amount of weed. An ounce dry ?! There is something wrong with how you're making it if I can make 3/4 lb with a bag of wet shake and get strong butter.

Why add the water? I thought that since it's only fat/alcohol soluble that you only need to use some sort of lipids for cooking.

Yes an ounce dry! An ounce of dried weed really isn't that much when you grow... It takes a teaspoon of budder and I'm flying for 8+ hours! I also use trim from time to time and that works well too.
I have started using water which I bring to a boil, then add the butter and then the herb. By adding the water it makes it almost impossible to burn the budder. When the mixture chills the budder and water seperate.
