As you can see the c'99 is clearly winning so far.

the ultimate has given me a lot oftrouble initially and seems to be a ssensitive plant.

she is making a recovery from what she used to be however.

This was her a few weeks ago.

I grew the ultimate 2 phenos and they both were the worst weed I've ever grown. I hope you have better luck with them . I won't fuck with dutch passion again.

That sucks. Worst weed in overall high? Or a bitch to grow?

Mine seems like it has potential for good growth as mentioned I have just found her to be extremely sensitive. Admittedly I am I noob.

I also grew them when I was a noob so I was hoping you will be better off. I had the sativa and the Indica phenos and both were a bastard like your saying very sensitive . I was surprised cause the reviews said easy, potent, and heavy yielding . I got a lot of nug but it was practically garbage. Watch your ppms close of your run off. If your in soil don't add much nutrients and be sure to let the pots dry out between waterings until mid flower

I wouldn't expect much out of that led system... first of all, it's definitely not 900W... second, the efficiency is not even as high as HPS. Looking at the front of your LED array, I can tell those are crap leds with less than 30% efficiency. It will grow weed, but will likely produce embarrassing results when compared to HPS.

Probably but im on a budget and didnt want hps and wannted to see if cheap LED's would grow decent buds, Either way time will tell.

Was your post based off of the specs I posted or just speculation? Im happy with the lights so far but do you believe I would qualify for a refund if true?

What type of yield do you predict I will get?

Well, it says in the specs that it uses "bridgelux" and Epistar LEDs. I can tell just by looking at them that they're all epistar by the footprint of the leds shown in the picture. Bridgelux sold their trademark to epistar, or epistar makes some of bridgelux's stuff and calls it bridgelux, but it's not the same as bridgelux vero which is manufactured by toshiba...

Epistar LEDs are known for around 25% efficiency, but even then it depends on what current they're being run at.. the lower, the higher efficiency, but then they need more leds to get the same power.

A fresh 400W hps lamp has somewhere around 35% efficiency, while a fresh DE HPS lamp is more like 42%. It's hard to beat that with LED's without paying as pretty penny, and doing it mostly DIY.

Cheers for he info.

Whats the rough cost of a diy led that would outperform my lights?

I was interested in doing a diy initially.

I would ask in the LED section to get more better answers. It really depends on the size of your area. It's kind of expensive (around 1000 bucks for a 4'x4' tent) to setup a 49% efficient lamp with 94% efficient drivers and high quality heat sinks.

HPS is hard to beat for people with a low initial startup budget and a short or unknown time horizon.

Cheers. No way on earth I can afford $1000 haha. I love growing but im not a heavy smoker so I cant really justify a big budget.
