Is it worth investing in LED?

Their "Bridgelux Vero 5w Xtreme" threw me off a little. I looked them up just in case I was missing something. That's almost as bad as the 20w Cree XML COB that some Canadian site was selling.

I think an informative, yet basic and simplistic site is best. A bunch of bells and whistles to distract people is just that, distractions. A51's site is now on a solid state hard drive with 32g of RAM and an 8 core processor, it's not always about flashiness...
They put a lot into the appearance of the web site. I still prefer the simplicity and easy-navigation of Area51's webiste. My ADD kicked into overtime after entering GB's website.

I'm done buying, but this was for a 2x2, one #10 airpot

I really like my clw220, kind of expensive, $439 plus free shipping. It is super high quality and the plants love it, But I still can't tell just by observing what watt hid it would be comparable to. I would say 400w is pushing it a little, but I use to clone under a 250w mh and it beats the hell out of that.
For that same money you could have gotten an A51... The CLW is just a mid-level light

LED technology is increasing rapidly as the pricoye gets lower and lower each year.

Based on the past 6 years of growing, I will never go back to HID or MH

1. Cheaper on my bill
2. a 600 watt LED with a scrog net in my 2x2 regularly delivers 1/2 a pound of primo flowers
3. NO HEAT = No need to exhaust or waste money on loud fans, a small can fan will cool and circulate
4. Quiet and invisible to helecoptors looking for heat signitures at strange hours.
5. as time goes by the prices come down as the technology improves.

Video killed the radiostar... this MH and HID vs LED argument is getting harder and harder for people like Sativied to defend the technology is already been tested on youtube to show the new LEDs are killing it.

IMPORTANT: When calculating the cost of a 600 watt MH you must also factor in the cost of exhausting the heat with fans, ducting, tape, the inconvienience of noise or cost of noise reduction.

I use Google while this boy is still Asking Jeeves ;)

The future is here and LEDs are not that pricey considering one grow and its gravy ;)

Im as trill as it gets bro.

Time will tell when you see my next post on my 2x2 scrog under the 600 watt OG Kush.

Can you prove that they are not good lights or are you just spouting out the bs you hear from real growers.

The fact that you have to use 600w in a 4 square foot tent is kinda telling.

Even area 51 only uses 100-200w in that same foot print.

Monochrome panels are old news. Cobs are a much more cost effective solution.

He even has side lighting there, probably running 1000w to grow one little plant with small buds.
