Tying Down Right Before 12/12 Stretch

Long story short... I have 5 wappa and 5 critical kush in 7 gallon pots. They have been in veg for about 43 days. I also have 5 auto white widow (pyramid seeds) that are about two days behind those. They have around another 30 days to finish. I want to flip 12/12 once they are done.
Ok problem is... They are getting too damn big. A good and bad thing. My photo girls are between 18" and 26". My tent is 80" high. Pots 12", 8" hood, 18" from light to canopy. Well you get the point. I'll only have about 4' left for plant growth. Right now my 5x5 tent is crowded as hell. Another 30 days of veg and they'll way too tall. I'm putting 5 in another tent so width I'm not too worried.
So my question is can tie them Dow at the start of 12/12. They'll double in height so I'm worried about plants growing too fast at flip at breaking the branches. Or should I just top all 6 tops ( or just two i topped the first time) again to slow growth now. I have no room to tie down now. Please give me your opinions and advice.

I think I am/was kinda in the same boat, I have six plants total and one's an auto. vegged for 50 days from seed then flipped to 12/12. My plan was originally to let the auto finish before I started flowering, apparently I underestimated how long an auto would take, as I'm 4 weeks into 12/12 now. and have about a week left on my auto. If space is becoming an issue I recommend flipping to 12/12 now, the autos won't care as long as you don't change it from 12/12

This is what I was thinking and may have to do. I give them another 7 to 14 days then flip. Crazy part is my photos are crowding my auto and blocking lower bud sites.

Top them all

Maybe I wasn't that clear on it.
I'm familiar with topping. I topped aleady at 3 weeks. In turn I have an even canopy with about 6 even tops. Can I top all 6 of these tops at once. The secondary branches as well.

Sounds to me like you are going to have to tie them down repeatedly.
I do not like to cut once I begin flowering. Tying down is much less traumatic.
If you need to, you can make your plants look like pretzels in order to attain the desired canopy.
Just keep tyin' 'em down. No worries.

Sounds to me like you are going to have to tie them down repeatedly.

Just like Wavels stated your gonna have to tie em down a few times. The LST is gonna cause extra growth as well as the stretch from blooming. I usually top and fimm early around the 4th or 5th node.

What I use for tie downs that are plastic cable ties/Tyraps. You don't tighten them all the way, which allows the plant to grow without choking it. I would top the plant 2 every day, as this would reduce stress on the plant

I like to use loops of panty-hose which stretch and flex with the plant, these I tie to heavy mono fishing line with which I anchor the panty-hose loops.

Do you mean two tops each time? On the same plant?

Never thought of the panty hose. But its the best one I've seen so far. It'll stretch with growth and its less likely to break a branch. Good shit.
