lol Right . Honestly though, I grew out a pack of KC brains #36 years ago from seed. Not only was it very nice weed, it was very uniform, all 6 females we almost identical, and I think I payed like $40 for a the whole pack of seeds. I also got one freebie White Widow from attitude years ago, and it turned out to be such a bad ass plant it was my go to for over 4 years. I ran clones and mothers from the one original seed the whole time. Hell maybe I'm just the luckiest!
 
I'd like to say that the original Blueberry is my all-time favorite smoke. I've grown over 50 of the "named" strains, and I don't know how many bag seed crops, and that one strain stands out from the others. The disappointment was always the yield, being a notoriously low-yielding plant, but the buds are outstanding quality, and the taste and high are my fave.

That's why we've seen thousands of crosses using the original Blueberry, to improve the yield while preserving that excellent taste and high.

I think it's also fair to say we've seen thousands of crosses using the Blueberry not just to improve yield, but to also improve the overall quality of the strains it's been crossed to. ;) Seems strange that thousands of breeders would only want to improve the yield of the Blueberry. More likely that thousands of people wanted to improve the quality of the genetics they were already working with so they crossed in the Blueberry. Least that seems more likely to me. ;)

Whatever the reason may be, there is just NO excuse for charging $25/REGULAR SEED. It's Absurd, and unwise of him as a businessman. If I had my own seed bank and had GREAT genetics (not sure if he has SUCH stellar strains anyway), then I would set my prices so that EVERY HEAD can afford to buy my seeds. As a result, I would have everyones business, and not limit myself to "caviar clientelle". Just saying-

Right on.. My favorite plant I have grown to date was from DJ's blueberry pollen.. It is some special herb. Seeing those pics JD just posted reminded me of that plant and the 3 sisters of it that I grew a little bit as well..

My garden is seriously lacking Blueberry. I have a little bit of everything but since losing my Sweet tooth 1.1 I have not had blueberry.

I have always had great success with Skunks in the yield dept, but rarely impressed with the buds themselves.. A Blueberry Skunk might be a nice cross..

Now that I am making a lot of my own crosses I need to get some Blueberry back in my garden

Glad to see you continuing your dads work. Ive been folowing his work for about 17 years now and Ive got to meet him multiple times, in multiple states working cannabis cups. I got clones and seeds from him. The clones were blueberry and f13. im sure the clones were made by the dispensery he was with, as they werent the best. The blueberry just grew like crap. I tried and tried but couldnt get them to go. The F13 was good but not great. The seeds were vanilluna and grew amazingly! I still run clones of them.

newb grower here. Popped a couple of fem seeds not long ago (claimed OG Kush x Blueberry) and one of them has predominantly shown Blueberry traits since sprout (purple then reddish leaf rim). Needless to say I've been excited about this since then and I have been reading Jd short's threads thoroughly. Sorry for butting in just wanted to say good luck, mate :D

Back in 2011 was the first time I smoked weed in 20 years. Someone I worked with was talking about this strain of blueberry. My interest was peaked as soon as he opened the bag. He had 1/2 a bone that he gave to me. I took a couple hits on my drive home. Unfuckingbeleaveable. Just to let you know how long it was for me. The last ounce I bought was 4 finger and cost $20. For you younger people a 4 finger ounce was when you held the bag in your hand it would cover 4 fingers. We had to use a shoe box lid to separate the seeds from the weed. We threw the seeds out. Anyway after smoking this blueberry I felt like I was floating in space. If you can bring that back you would make a lot of people happy. One instance where if it ain't broke don't fix it. Good luck to you. I would love to try and grow it myself. Too many imposters. Turn some lose and don't sell out

I know that this is 5 years old, but I'm really interested in playing with the blueberry genetics. Does anyone have a good recommendation on where to get a hold of some seeds? Thanks in advance!
