Harvest Time Help Plz !!

Hi all,

First time grower here in need of assistance :))

Iv got me a heavyweight fast and vast auto grow, 80% indica 20% sativa,

Im at day 79 here and trying to figure when to harvest, trichomes are mostly cloudy with a few clear but no amber as of yet, iv heard autos dont tend to show ambers??

Might be hard to see in the pics but most of the leaves are now yellow, easy to pull off, but around the main cola some are looking burned and crispy, is this a sign its drying up and ready to harvest?

Not many white haired pistils remain, and some of the pistils from the calyxs are turning reddish

Using a 600watt hps dual spec
Hydro bubbler
Herbies seeds

Dunno if that helps but what the heck lool

So basically I dont wanna go to far and harvest later than I should

That's a pretty damn good job for your first grow, especially starting in hydro.

Crispy leaves is a sign of light bleaching or heat stress as far as I know.

Idk anything about autos so I can't help on that. Keep up the good work.

Well im asking what you queery is? Harvest? Pull off the fan leaves and the deep seeded bud leaves and hang the whole plant for a week depending on humitity. When its dry manicure it branch by branch and cure. Any other questions?

Its ready...... dont want alot of amber..... alot of growers as myself use that as a guage in thw the high we want.... clearer trichomes=head high, cloudy=deep couch setting, amber=thc depletion has begun.

My query was an asking of opinions from people like urself who are more experienced than me if my lil girl was ready for the chop... thanks for the input :)

Would u give her a dark period of a few days aswell to boost her resin (if thats even true) ??
And if so would u leave the airpump and air stones running

U did ask :)

Iv read that but that clear is not full on thc, cloudy is a head and body buzz, and 2 much ambers give u the couch lock

The resin theory is true..... the longer dark at the end of grow will make the plant protect itself...... just like I harvest in the dark... and there is a reason I do that.

Just not sure whether to leave the pump with airstones runnin or empty the bucket let the roots sit in there or cut her root ball off....

Id wait until she wakes up and hack her down with fond memories of her. I missed the part where you said hydro bubbler and thought you were potted. I dont put any faith in the dark for two days thing.

Hehe yep............Its interestingly as iv done a shit load of reading on everythin and with the dark period some say its rubbish and some live by it....app the chop should occur while lights are out as alot of somethin get shooted up from the roots into the plant (cant remember what) lol
