Non-stretchy carrier?

I'm growing my first crop of OG. The mom was spindly and stretched, between nodes 5-6" average. I have low ceilings, want to curtail the growth however possible. Thinking lower nitrogen is a good idea, but then need a replacement carrier. Was hoping to grow organically. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

Is it still in veg stage? You can keep it in veg stage and take several clones. Then as soon as your clones have roots put them in flower. This way you minimize the stretch and you have endless supply of future clones by maintaining your mother plant.

If it is already in flower you can tie down the top branches so they don't grow into the bulb.

Definetley grow organic, super easy!

Great, real OGs do stretch a lot so as soon as you see roots you can flower to control stretch. Earth Juice Grow and Bloom Original are great bulletproof option for organic. Good luck.

Lowering N is not a good idea. It will yellow your plants and cause slow growth, so don't do that. There are other things you can do to minimize stretch like topping, super cropping, and LST'ing. All of these training methods can also help fill in the grow space and add to overall harvest weight if done properly. Another great option is to use a MH light instead of HPS or get 6500k lights if you're not using HIDs. Some even go for MH the first two weeks of flower to minimize stretch and then switch to HPS to bulk them up.

This is not fully accurate, there are things to be said about ol Earth Juice. I do like Earth Juice, but it is in no way bullet proof or a beginners fertilizer. Earth Juice Grow/Bloom are NOT complete by themselves. They do need to be supplemented with micros, they even sell microblast. The bottle says to not use RO water because they are expecting to get the extra micros from your tap water. Lastly, Earth Juice has some PH issues that need to be addressed. It is acidic and needs lots of PH up, but if you bubble it, it will stabilize a bit so you wont need as much PH up.
