no you don't. you literally just made that up.What did he do?
All I see are states working to make it legal, raid after raid by the Feds, and him laughing at the notion of legalizing pot.

Well sir, to quote UncleBuck,What did he do?

he put out 8 simple guidelines for the states that wanted to legalize, rather than quash them with the supremacy clause or withhold federal dollars or any other action they could have taken to shut it all down. What did he do?
Most of the 2010 arrests were simple possession arrests, absolutely nothing to do with Obama.Weird, under Obama, the arrests for MJ related things is up nearly 80%.

853,000 arrests in 2010 alone?

and dispensaries and grows increased by at least 1000%.Weird, under Obama, the arrests for MJ related things is up nearly 80%.
All while saying regardless to whether you do any of that or not, we reserve the right to bust you just because.Well sir, to quote UncleBuck,
...obama's stance on legalizing weed was this:
1. don't sell to children
2. don't funnel the money to the mob, gangs, or cartels
3. don't move the weed to non-legal states
4. don't use it as a cover to sell cocaine, meth, and other drugs
5. don't get violent or use guns in the growing or selling
6. don't enable drugged drivers or junkies
7. don't grow on public lands and fuck that shit up
8. don't smoke or hold on federal property
This is progress. There's still a long way to go, but this is progress.
How much progress? I guess that's a matter of opinion.
I cant help but wonder how long before the feds start cracking down on those breaking the above rules.Well sir, to quote UncleBuck,

Hard to count arrests before 2013 since that is when legalization really took the reigns.Weird, under Obama, the arrests for MJ related things is up nearly 80%.

Did he defund the DEA? Did he pardon and restitute the real victims of the war on drugs?except then he and holder gave 8 simple guidelines and let re-legalization proceed.
maybe you are just too short to have noticed that. i'll ask for someone to get you a booster chair, kiddo.
yet they haven't busted anyone who is following the very simple guidelines. All while saying regardless to whether you do any of that or not, we reserve the right to bust you just because.
we've played this game before, you can not show me one single case where they have busted a state compliant medical or recreational shop. And that's all in the same useless memo that they themselves ignore.
well, in addition to making a liar out of yourself, you have now just made a dumbass out of yourself. or at least demonstrated the fact publicly.he's been the status quo and has been worse for us.
it started long ago, my ill-informed amiga.I cant help but wonder how long before the feds start cracking down on those breaking the above rules.
article six, clause 2, united states constitution, aka supremacy clause.Where did that power come from?
So, if I draw up a paper granting myself authority and have a few of my cronies sign it too, it then becomes a binding "agreement" on those that never agreed to it?article six, clause 2, united states constitution, aka supremacy clause.
you're welcome. i enjoy helping out the stupid and ill-informed.
Yea, another example of circular logic. It is both indefensible and non-debatable. Perfect storm of words you put together there Rob.So, if I draw up a paper granting myself authority and have a few of my cronies sign it too, it then becomes a binding "agreement" on those that never agreed to it?
I enjoy asking the stupid and ill-informed questions they can't answer, Meathead.
No, its a fact that the origin of any nation state (so far) has not risen from consent, it has risen from some guys declaring themselves your automatic leader(s).Yea, another example of circular logic. It is both indefensible and non-debatable. Perfect storm of words you put together there Rob.
Your arguments are based solely on feelings, never fact.
if you don't like the document that governs our nation, you have multiple options. So, if I draw up a paper granting myself authority and have a few of my cronies sign it too, it then becomes a binding "agreement" on those that never agreed to it?
That statement on its face is true, and is mostly factual. I will agree with you on that. No, its a fact that the origin of any nation state (so far) has not risen from consent, it has risen from some guys declaring themselves your automatic leader(s).
You can't refute that, can you? Know why, it's a fact.
Legalisation is happening in spite of Obama, he has nothing to do with it.No one is saying that Obama's words and actions have always supported MJ legalization. I'm just saying that more progress has been made under his administration than under any in the past. It's progress. And progress helps.
All other modern presidents have admitted to smoking pot, but still wanted to jail others for doing the same damn thing. Obama has at least made a dent in that.
But there's much more work to do.
I disagree with Obama on a great many things. I was just trying to be personally objective on an issue where I thought he had made some sort of positive contribution.Legalisation is happening in spite of Obama, he has nothing to do with it.
Stop giving undue credit to that failure of a President.
Hope and Change?
