So I grew my first small personal stash of 5 plants. I went 4 weeks of vegetation and switched over to 12/12. after a week and a half, I noticed the flowers and to my very upsetting surprise, ALL OF THEM WERE MALES! I'm not all that happy about the loss so I looked into 99.9% genetically female seeds. Are these legit? I don't want to waste more time, effort, and electricity bills on f-ing males. Any advice would help.

"feminized" is bullshit... 
in the phylum animalia, male gametes determine sex of the offspring. if the same holds for the phylum plantae, the genetics of the seed are determined by the male gametes once pollen hits ovum.... no matter what conditions....
i've read about feminizing seeds, but sex is 50/50 as far as i can tell
i'm biased, i got female bagseed and female clones... i don't buy into marketing/advertising.

your crazy, its at 99% for every fem seed I have ever seen advertised. You clearly have never got fem seeds or got a shitty batch becuase I've always seen 100% fem gem rate.

Its legit but you can also end up with hermie... what i've done in the past is let the hermie go, and then planted those seeds, and i'm not exactly sure what the scientific reason was, but those seeds (every last one of them), produced female plants....
still tho, i never buy fem seeds anymore, i just plant em all and usually end up with a minimum of 50/50 female....

I live in America and been ordering fo 7+ years. Wat you had bad customs experience bra? I guess im just one of the few lucky ass U.S. growers. Customs open my shit still goes through. Never get fucked over, long waits sometimes but neva fucked ova. Grow bagseed?

Ive heard nothing but femals from fem seeds.
the best reason to use Fem seeds is because it saves you a huge amount of time and money. no having to germ,veg and a few weeks of flowering to only realize you have males and you chop em and have to start over. For some this is a 6 week savings of time, in 6 weeks I can almost have a harvest ready to go.
