I guess you have already ordered from them ? are their import taxes and VAT to add to the asked price ? What about shipping prices ? (cheapest slowmail)
I'm thinking of buying 20 CXB3070 AD (http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/CREE-CXB3070-3000K-AD-original-Cree_60196477586.html)

I ordered 10 cxb3070 and he said it will be shipped in 7-10 days. Today is day 11 and I have not heard anything yet. Maybe is was 7-10 business days. Im eager to get them. All my build stuff is rolling in and no chips yet.
 
Is that for the US or EU ?

Do you know if that's with a 'minimized' invoice or real value ?

Im in europe, and I beleive we pay around 20% VAT + customs charge .. unless its worth less than 150 euros or sumthin' (that part being country specific I think).

US.Just order what you need and he'll tell you the shipping. I'm no tax accountant lol I just find bargains.

i'm in eu too EV, i just ordered yeastreday from kingbrite.... he says he will ship in about 10 days and advised to write a sum of just 4$ in th package to save the cost of custom clearence....
if you want to wait i'll tell exactely what i paid... otherwise ,like me , assume we will pay taxes and vat only for the 4 $...
i read somewhere in the net that boarder controll can open the packages to check and revalue the merchandise.... so there is a small possibility to pay full vat and tax(for income tax there is a slight possibility is not applied on leds). i hope anyway everything goes smoothly so we can order again from jerry@kingbrite.

I was thinking an invoice of around 80$ for the 20 cxa3070 I'm going to buy would be a better sell, but then again, it might attract more attention :roll:. Tricky stuff :lol:

no problem about informing you. i ordered 8 cobs. 4-cxa3070 and 4cxa3590.
i choosed dhl... that was reccomended by jerry, it is fast and more secure. paid 45$ for shiping
you can't never be to prudent in the eu, its true. that said i don't think a small package with low purchasing amount declared would attract that much attention ... anyway we're about to see in a few weeks and i really hope it does not.
i know for sure that mouser has CXB30700N0HAB30G for 37.88 euro free shiping , no tax, no duties. they guarentee to pay everything... you might consider that , if you haven't yet.
