I hate to be selfish, but as long as they have a winning ballot measure, I'm happy. PA doesn't allow ballot initiatives, and the only way we'll get it legalized is if a bunch of states go legal and either PA or the Feds bow to the pressure

Well as I said if dispenserys succeed at this it will allow them to charge ridiculous prices for there product sick granny in a wheel chair with cancer is not going to be able to pay 65$ an eighth with her monthly disability check that's when it becomes nessary to have compassionate caregivers to grow medicine for people on a budget but the ADA (Arizona dispensery Association) does not want that becuase they are in love with the current monopoly I have done the math and Arizona dispensarys are makeing over 8000$ a pound! You can see why they don't want any competition do you think 65$ an eighth is fair? compare that to the 10$ grams you can get in Colorado honestly I would expect someone on rollitup to be a little bit more open minded do you not agree that all forms of cannabis prohibition should be abolished?

Of course, I want prohibition to end, but I'd rather see something passed that can be fixed later. The more states that legalize, the better chance PA will follow suit

I understand you would like to see things in you're state change I have been there believe me before arizona passed there law the only thing avalible was crappy brown mexican brick weed full of seeds but you also half to understand that many people here are being forced to risk prosecution by growing there own meds becuase they cannot afford to buy from a dispensary and once an initiative is passed by the people it is nearly impossible to change The only way to change voter-approved measures in Arizona is through a two-thirds vote of each the state House and Senate, and the revisions must align with the intent of the measure. So with an all conservative legislator in AZ you can forget about being able to make changes to the law.

Are you talking about HB2007? Do you have a link to the updated draft?
HB 2007 is going nowhere which is not surprising the lawmaker who introduced it even said it was a long shot with an all conservative legislature in AZ bills like this go nowhere. Here is a link to MPP's current draft http://saferarizona.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/MPP_AZ_draft_2.25.15.pdf as it stands right now there are no home cultivation rights in the bill although after enough people complained they contacted safer Arizona wanting to get them back on board they are currently negotiating for grow rights also here is a link to a story that will get you informed about the issues in AZ http://saferarizona.com/az-pro-marijuana-groups-boycott-protest-mmj-dispensaries-grow-rights/

Thanks for the info, I personally think Safer Arizona needs to do a better job of getting their message out to the public, especially those that don't use social media like Facebook.

I personally won't be voting for any legalization act that does not include cultivation rights.

I won't vote for it either if it does not include home cultivation rights but I contacted Safer Arizona and they told me that meetings have been set up with MPP to discuss putting home cultivation rights back in the initiative let's keep our fingers crossed and be ready to protest if they do not give in to our demands you can check here for updates or safer arizonas website of course

I respect your decision BDOG, but I think it's short sighted
you're missing the point the fact that home cultivation is banned in Arizona creates a monopoly and allows dispensarys to charge as much as they want for medicine. It is not affordable to the average person what about sick people on a budget? they are being forced back to the black market which is counterproductive to what legalization is supposed to accomplish. Do you think it's fair for dispensarys to dominate the market like this?

Medical Card holder here in AZ. No grow rights suck. Only one dispensary here in this small town. Talk about old dried up flavorless junk all for 15-25$ a gram. I can drive 300 miles to Phoenix and get mass produced flavorless junk though for 10$ a gram!

Maybe this is how weed is supposed to be. I just seem to remember years ago in Florida I used to get real fire. Maybe that weed doesn't exist anymore. Part of the reason why I only use full melt hash oil now.

Fire weed still exists problem is now that dispenserys in AZ don't half to worry about competition from outside sources such as caregivers or patients growing there own and giving to other patients or the compassion clubs if you remember those. They really don't care what the quality of there meds are or how much they charge for them!

That's why I buy the cheapest stuff I can get now out of dispensaries and blast my own oil. Been doing that for a few months now. Turn crap old weed into good shit.
