floranova bloom...

1425978486413.jpg Does any one use or have any experience with floranova bloom nutrient????? I'm a first time grower and looking for any knowledge of what ppms I should use during flowering in soil.. the feeding chart states low ppms, 500-700 ppm ,following the chart my plants were looking hungery. I upped ppms to 900 @.5 reading.any info on floranova would be good.. thx alot

Dont balance ph the nutes will do it themselves, as far as how much to feed go 4ml per gallon and IMO ur plants look like they have to much salt build up, do u flush between feeding

Ya same here its a great nute if u use it right, shit the grow im on now is the first time ive ever gave my girls nute burn but ya u do need to watch out for cal mag issues mostly just cal tho

I've been using flora nova for about a year now. It works well, some times I use cal mag with it, some times I don't, it kinda depends on what strains I"m running at the time. Typically I use one tsp/gal of water, and have great results. I've never used the kool bloom booster fyi so I have nothing to add about that. I don't use any bloom boosters, the plants don't seem to need it.

Thx for every ones reply.. I've heard alot of good stuff about floranova that's why I went with this nute , veg stage useing the grow whent smooth. But during the flower stage I've been having a few problems like now.but I think I been feeding them pretty average around 1 teaspoon per gal of water. I feed ,water,feed & so on ,on that schedule.only watering when pots are light like every 3 days.""××××????but the question is if I'm useing ro water do I need to add cal,mag to the water every time since the ppm of the ro water is 0 ppm ?????? I've been giving a good amount of ca-mag about 1 teaspoon every watering . I don't add it to the feed just on water days. I've read to much ca-mag would lock out (k)? Could I be over dosing on ca,mag??? Causing this problem???

I will be giving a good flush with some cleared tomorrow & will up date you on the problem, entil then any suggestions on floranova or how much you use per gal of water??? What ppm do you feed with floranova....

Yeas I feed with floranova & koolbloom..then next time I just water with botanicare sweet& ca-mag, ...I'm gonna cut out the ca-mag.

After I add the floranova bloom and kool bloom the pH is 5.4 I usually ph up it to 6.5, because I'm growing in soil ...are you saying I should just feed them the nutes at 5.4 & not Rais the ph???? Isn't 5.4 ph kinda low?????

For the record I don't think your leaves look anything like the K def in that diagram. Also I'm not 100% because I don't run RO but I believe that if you are using RO water that you definitely want to be using calmag according to the directions on the bottle with every watering.

Yeah I use tap water, mines pretty decent where I live. When I change my res I add 1 tsp/gal protek to the water first. It adds some silica, and also bumps my ph up a little bit. Then I mix in 1 tsp per gallon of the floranova. Typically it puts me right in the 5.5-5.9 ph range, and about 900-1000 ppm depending on exactly how many gallons of water I pumped in since I don't measure that but I know my res holds 45 gallons. Then every 3-4 days I add 5-10 gallons of water to top it off. With every other top off I add nutes as well. This keeps my nute levels pretty steady, and my PH rarely swings out of the proper zone.

Also if you are using PH up you need to mix it into your water before adding your nutes. Its my understanding that adding it after the nutes can cause certain nutrients(i think Calcium) to fall out of the solution. Take notice if you have ever seen a slight cloud in the water when you add the ph up into the mix.

Yeas I heard ro water was better that tap, a few months ago so that's what I been using . But I'm gonna chang back to tap if that works just fine. My tap water should be pretty good I was just worried about clorine .

Don't be worried about chlorine, it won't hurt a thing unless its really high. I use a separate chlorine solution to keep a nice sterile res during the summer, it works wonders, and the plants have never missed a beat.

It won't hurt a thing besides all the beneficial bacteria that makes your organic grow. Keep using that R/O water dude it will help a ton.

So you say to stick with ro water??? I been useing ro water almost my whole grow , but I'm not sure about the calmag thing since ro water is stripped of everything..you would want to add cal mag to the water every use??I heard if you got good tap water it's good to use that couse it has minerals and stuff in it that's good for the plants. My tap water is good, I was gonna switch to that so I don't got to keep adding calmag to the ro water, with tap it already has beneficial stuff in it ...I think my plants might have been getting to much cal mag Wich will lock out k . I could be wrong but we'll see if it clears up.
I just gave them a good flush today, & in a couple days I'll give them a regular feeding of base nute only..no extras
